The following is the official obituary of Melinda Marie Breaz Superville, who’s body was found recently by volunteers of Texas EquuSearch.
An Excerpt from the statement:
MELINDA MARIE BREAZ SUPERVILLE’S spirit was liberated on December 2, 2005 due to an accidental overdose. She was 43. A 35 year resident of Houston, Melinda was born in Gary, Indiana on April 20, 1962. She graduated from Northbrook High School in 1980 and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1985 from Texas Chiropractic College. She was also a certified Acupuncturist. Melinda embraced a universalist outlook of the world where no lines were drawn in regard to humanity we are all one people. Her mission in life was to holistically heal others, not only through the strength of her hands and vast knowledge of alternative modes of treatment, but especially from her generous heart.
(the full obituary)
I find this really strange that the first comments in the obituary are referencing an accidental overdose. Especially when there has been no confirmation by the ME as to the cause of death.
It would seem odd as well to reference such a thing as the first statement as well even if this may ever be stated officially to be the case. Normally one does not just come out and make such a statement in a case of a suicide. Something just doesn’t seem right.
We will have to wait for the ME’s findings and hear from the family regarding their thoughts of Melinda Superville’s passing.
Rest in Peace, Melinda and out prayers go out to her family.

Dr. Zehra Attari has been missing for weeks. Her family had few clues and leads to her disappearance. The unfortunate discovery came Tuesday night as Dr. Zehra Attari’s vehicle and body out of the water.
Attari’s gray Honda Accord was pulled out of the Oakland Estuary near the Grand Marina boatyard in Alameda at the foot of Grand Street. A body was found inside and this morning family members said it was Attari.
Attari is not the the first person to have mistaken the black water where the Grand Street dead ends at the Oakland Estuary for blacktop, said Ed Vasquez a spokesman for the Attari family.
It appears that through and unfortunate turn of events, unfamiliarity were her surrounding and being an “anxious driver” led to this terrible tragedy.

Police found the body Monday in a wooded area 50 miles from the Fort Wayne neighborhood where Alejandra Gutierrez disappeared December 8. According to authorities the body appeared to be a child that had been strangled.
Searchers following a tip from a man jailed for allegedly killing his wife and three young daughters have found a frozen body believed to be that of a 10-year-old girl last seen heading to a school bus stop earlier this month.
Delaware County Deputy Prosecutor Mark McKinney said the area was searched based on details given by Simon Rios, who is now considered a suspect in Gutierrez’s abduction and slaying. A 17-year-old juvenile in custody in Allen County also is considered a suspect, authorities said.
Rios is being held in the Dec. 13 killings of his wife and three children. Authorities say Rios told investigators he beat and strangled his wife and killed their three children after the couple argued about him doing household chores.

Indy Channel; Police: Body Might Be That Of Missing Girl
A Fort Wayne man charged in the murders of his wife and three daughters is now a suspect in the abduction and slaying of a 10-year-old girl after authorities found a frozen body believed to be hers near a gravel pit 50 miles from her home.
Delaware County Deputy Prosecutor Mark McKinney said Monday that Simon Rios, 33, as well as a 17-year-old juvenile are suspects in Alejandra Gutierrez’s disappearance and killing.

Matthew Soumakis, 31, of East Longmeadow, MA, had been reported missing by his family on December 6 after he disappeared while in town for a conference. However, on Tuesday a body was recovered from the Chicago River that is most likely that of the Massachusetts businessman, Matthew Soumakis, who has been missing for two weeks.
Matthew Soumakis, 31, of East Longmeadow, Mass., had been reported missing by his family after he disappeared Dec. 6 while in town for a conference.
“We think it is Matthew Soumakis,” Sgt. Eugene Mullins said, although he said investigators were awaiting autopsy results to confirm the identity and determine whether foul play was involved.
An autopsy had not yet been performed Tuesday evening, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
What a tragic end to this story as Matthew Soumakis was just married last February and his wife is four months’ pregnant expecting their first child. God bless them all.
Chicago Tribune: River body ID’d as missing Mass. man
A body found floating in the Chicago River Tuesday was identified as a 31-year-old Massachusetts man reported missing Dec. 5 from the downtown hotel where he was attending a business conference.
When police marine unit officers pulled the body from the icy waters near Halsted and Division Streets, they found Matthew Soumakis’ identification still in his pockets, police said. Soumakis’ cousin, who had helped coordinate a manhunt over the last two weeks, later identified the body.
An autopsy was planned for Wednesday, and investigators were still trying to determine how and where Soumakis went into the water. A detective involved in the case and private investigator Perry Myers said Soumakis was anxious about work. He had recently been promoted to manager at a financial software firm, SS&C Technologies.
Read the full Chicago Tribune article as there is some interesting information on when they believe the time of death may have been due to Soumakis’ clean-shaven face and the fact that he was wearing an identification tag from his conference.
Berman said his cousin’s smooth face suggested that he died in the morning, because all of the men in the family have heavy beards and develop a shadow of stubble early in the day.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department says Shaun Rudy is a “person of interest” in his wife, Christine Rudy’s, death. Its about time, many were wondering when this would occur.
Human remains were identified Friday (December 16, 2005) as Christine Rudy’s, who had been missing since November 12. That was when Shaun said the two were arguing in the car and he dropped her off on County MM despite her being six months pregnant.
Sheriff Louis Rosandich says a number of people are being interviewed, including Shaun, who’s held on drug and weapons charges. Authorities hope to pass the case to the district attorney by January 1, and then decide who to charge.
Chief Deputy Jim Backus says they hope to turn over the reports to District Attorney Darwin Zwieg by the first of the year.
Police investigating the case of a pregnant woman who went missing and then later turned up dead hope to turn over evidence to the district attorney by January first.
Christine Rudy, of Thorp, was reported missing by her husband, Shaun Rudy, about two days after he said he dropped her off on Highway MM on November 12th. The newlyweds had been arguing.
Clark County Sheriff’s Department officials on Friday said the remains found in a rural wooded area in the county were those of the 21-year-old.
Chief Deputy Jim Backus says they hope to turn over the reports to District Attorney Darwin Zwieg by the first of the year. He will determine if charges should be filed against one or more people.
Once again the last known person with the victim is a person of interest and may most likely have charges brought against him. At the very least, who allows their six month pregnant wife to get out of a car in the middle of November in Wisconsin and does not go back for her?

According to findings by the crime lab in Madison, WI the remains found last week have been positively identified as those of the missing pregnant woman Christine Rudy.
Human remains found in rural Clark County are identified as those of Christine Rudy of Thorp. The 21-year-old pregnant woman had been missing over a month. The remains were positively identified Friday by analysts at the state crime lab in Madison, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s department.
The search for Rudy started when she was reported missing November 14th, two days after her husband Shaun Rudy claims to have left her along the side of a road in a forest area in bitter cold temperatures. Rudy said he dropped off his wife at her request during an argument, about 12 miles from their home.
Previously the sheriff’s department has said 23 year old Shaun Rudy was not considered a suspect. It is hard to imagine whether a suspect or not in the actual death of Christine Rudy, which cause of death is still to be determined, how anyone in good conscience could leave their six month pregnant wife on the road side.
Authorities did not release any further details.
No other details were released, except that the investigation into her disappearance had changed from a missing person case to a criminal investigation.

The latest rantings of Steven Avery are that he did not kill Teresa Halbach and that all the evidence that the police found on the Avery Salvage Yard property was planted. Thats right, he is being framed. Yes that it right, Teresa’s car, her car keys, and even blood that was found in her car. Steven Avery even goes so far to say that even Teresa Halbach’s charred remains and scattered bones and teeth found at the crime scene have all been planted.
Since the latest developments, Avery still insists he did not kill Teresa Halbach.
He says all of the evidence, including Teresa Halbach’s charred remains, her car, and car key were planted all throughout his property.
He says the same about his blood that was found in her car.
According to court documents Steve Avery’s blood was found in the following places in Teresa’s Halbach’s Rav 4:
- Driver’s seat area
- Ignition area
- Front passenger seat
- Rear Passenger door entrance
