31 year old Jamie Sheriden and her 5 year old son have been missing since Friday evening, January 18, 2008. Authorities have commented that Jamie Sheriden suffers from a mental condition that could endanger the child.

Jamie Sheridan and her 5-year-old son were reported missing on Jan. 19, 2008 from their home in Castle Valley, Utah. (Photo: The Salt Lake Tribune)
Description:
- Sheridan is a 31 year old white female
- 5 foot 2 inches tall
- 85 to 100 pounds
- long brown hair that extends to the middle of her back
- Officials say she was last seen wearing red sweat pants and an Army-type fatigue jacket.
- The 5-year-old boy, whose name was not given
- has longer brown hair that was pulled back in a ponytail
- He was last seen wearing what is described as a “furry sleeper”, a diaper and black gloves.
According to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Jamie Sheridan, 31 and her young son were last seen late Friday night — but found to be missing from their home early the next morning.
The woman and child live in Castle Valley, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials are concerned because they believe that Sheridan might be suffering from a mental condition that could endanger the child.
UPDATE I: Grand County officials worried about missing woman, son
“We don’t suspect any kind of foul play,” said Sheriff James D. Nyland. “In the middle of the night, she just up and took off. We don’t know where she has taken off to.”
A social services employee visited Jaime Sheridan’s Castle Valley home Friday afternoon, which may have scared the mother into thinking the state may be trying to take custody of the boy, Nyland said.
Sheridan’s father last saw his daughter and grandson about 10 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. The father awoke about 5:30 a.m. Saturday after noticing the home was cold.
Sheridan’s father found an open door, but not Sheridan, who suffers from a mental illness, or her son.
“We found tracks towards the road from the residence,” the sheriff said.
Authorities don’t know whether Sheridan and the boy caught a ride from a passing motorist or if they went walking into the night in single-digit temperatures. Sheridan doesn’t own a vehicle and left her driver’s license behind.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Grand County Sheriff’s Office at 435-259-8115

You know sometimes you think you have seen and heard it all. Then you get a story like this one out of South Carolina. 23 year old Bryan Garcia was given a 20 year prison sentence and ordered to register as a sex offender after Garcia was found guilty of trying to dig up the grave of a 12 year old girl to have sex with her.
Bryan Nicholas Garcia never did find the girl’s grave and told investigators he wanted to “take her home and have fun,” Clover Police Lt. Randall Horn said.
Garcia pleaded guilty but mentally ill Wednesday to two charges of destruction of a graveyard. Circuit Judge John Hayes sentenced Garcia to 20 years in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender.
Two mental evaluations found Garcia has a chemical imbalance in his brain that makes him want to have sex with corpses and children, defense attorney John Rhea said. (The State)
Sometimes some of the crimes people commit or intend to commit defy speech. Not only should thins individual never walk among us, he should never walk among anyone. I mean, Bryan Garcia attempts to dig up a 12 year old girl’s grave because he saw her picture in her obituary and thought she was cute. Garcia then tells police he wanted to “take her home and have fun.”
Get this, Bryan Garcia was a former National Merit Scholar at York High School.

Has anyone seen Cole Jackson? Cole Jackson, 33, has been missing since July 13, 2006.
Cole was last seen when he truck he was driving came out of a pasture and rammed into an elderly man’s fence. It is reported that Cole made a phone call, but never showed up at the rendezvous point. He was never seen or heard from again.
Thirty-three-year old Cole Jackson was last seen on July 13, about a quarter-mile from the church, when he came out of the backside of private pasture and rammed his truck through an elderly man’s fence. He stopped briefly to say he was sorry and would make good on the fence, but first he had to get away from the “bad people” chasing him.
The following day, his truck was found abandoned in a pasture about a mile down the road where the vehicle was apparently stuck in a ravine.
Cheyenne Jackson, Cole’s sister contacted Texas Equusearch for help in finding her brother. She also contact SM, Missing & Exploited in hopes of putting the word and pictures out to as many people as possible.
Please make sure to tune in to Dana Pretzer on Friday, September 29, 2006 for an interview with the family of Cole Jackson’s family.
Cheyenne Jackson, Cole’s sister who lives in Dallas said EquuSearch had been a godsend for her family — and hopefully their involvement would mean that her father could stop going out and searching and researching the same woods every day, as he has for the last 60 days.
Cole Jackson was last seen wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans. He is about 5’7” tall and 165 pounds.

(click on poster to enlarge)
Cole Jackson is severely asthmatic; however, he left both of his inhalers in his truck. According to reports, Cole Jackson was expecting his first child in October. It would also appear from reports that Cole was acting paranoid and a bit disoriented. It has been stated that “Jackson was not in a sound state of mind that day”. Also, family members found Jackson’s shoes with his wedding ring placed inside it.
“He was severely asthmatic, and he left both of his inhalers in his truck,” Wisdom said. “At the time of his disappearance he was acting paranoid and driving erratically. He felt like he was being chased. It’s possible that he became disoriented and got lost in the woods. He may have become dehydrated, or he could have had an asthma attack.”
An early morning discovery may have helped solidify Wisdom’s theory — family members found Jackson’s shoes with his wedding ring placed inside it.
Wisdom said it is likely that based on witness accounts and conversations, Jackson was not in a sound state of mind that day.
And his state of mind is something that search crews have to take into consideration when trudging through the brambles in the heavily wooded search parameters, Wisdom explained to a searcher. (The Daily Sentinal)
If anyone has any information or has seen Cole Jackson please contact Texas EquuSearch at 281–309–8500 or 877–270–9500.
