Charles Carl Roberts IV Said He Molested in the Past and Dreamed of it Again

The killings perpetrated by Charles Carl Roberts IV in Nickle Mines, PA was a tragic as it was senseless. To date five innocent, little school girls have died for what can only be described as the actions of a deranged lunatic. Charles Carl Roberts, the man that every one thought was a mild mannered and kind dad, turns out to be a man haunted by his past actions and his mind.

VIDEO

NICKEL MINES, Pa. – A man who laid siege to a one-room Amish schoolhouse told his wife he had molested young children decades ago and left a note saying he had “dreams of molesting again,” state police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller said Tuesday.

Police said they could not confirm the claim by Charles Carl Roberts IV and that family members knew nothing of the alleged molestation.

The shootings were senseless as even the reasons provided in notes by Charles Carl Roberts make no sense. Why would he take human life by being burdened by a 20 year old issue where he claims to have molested prior? In essence he turned his dreams into reality; however, instead of molesting the school girls, he attempted to kill them all instead?

Roberts wrote his wife and children suicide notes, took three guns and ammunition and went to the West Nickel Mines Amish School ready for an extended siege. He also had sex lubricant with him, but there was no evidence that any of the Amish children had been sexually assaulted, Miller said. (MSNBC)

Mother Killed and Baby cut from womb; 7 year old DeMond, 3 year old Ivan and 2 year old Jinela Missing (UPDATE: Children found dead)

This story defies all sense of reality and offends the all conscious thought. A woman has been arrested for killing her cousin and cutting her cousin’s child from her womb. The murdered woman’s children are also missing: 7 year old DeMond, 3 year old Ivan and 2 year old Jinela.

Police sources said a child was cut from the womb of a woman whose body was Baby_snatchfound behind an East St. Louis home Thursday.

Police have arrested the victim’s cousin for the murder. She was taken into custody late Thursday night.

Friday morning, police announced they were looking for three children last seen with the suspect. They were searching part of Frank Holten State Park for the children.

The missing children are 7 year old DeMond, 3 year old Ivan and 2 year old Jinela. The suspect is not the mother of the missing children. Police did not issue an Amber Alert for the children, but they told NewsChannel 5 they are concerned because the children are missing and were last seen with a woman now accused of killing her cousin and cutting her cousin’s child from her womb.

Woman Questioned About Killing Mother, Stealing Fetus; Victim’s 3 Kids Missing

A 26-year-old woman who police called a “person of interest” was in police custody Friday. Local FOX affiliate KSDK reported that the woman being questioned is the victim’s cousin.

On Thursday there was a funeral for a baby who the woman in custody claimed was hers and had been stillborn, East St. Louis Police Chief James Mister told the Belleville News-Democrat.

An autopsy will be performed on the baby Friday to determine if it was removed from the dead woman’s womb, Mister said. (Fox News)

UPDATE: Three Missing Children all Found Dead

Three missing children have been found dead, days after their mother’s body was discovered with the fetus cut from her womb, authorities announced late yesterday.

The bodies of the children were found hours after a woman was charged and jailed on US$5-million bail in the deaths of Jimella Tunstall, 23, who was seven months pregnant.

The two boys, ages 7 and 2, and their one-year-old sister were found together in an apartment in the East St. Louis public housing complex where their mother lived. (Calgary Sun)

3 children drowned and then put in washer and dryer

Good God, how could this story get any more sick and twisted. Woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and her fetus now admits to drowning three young children and putting them into a washer & dryer.

A woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and her fetus told police she drowned the woman’s three young children and stuffed them into a washer and dryer at their apartment, an official said today.

Preliminary autopsies on the dead children Sunday appear to show they were drowned, Ace Hart, a deputy St. Clair County coroner, told The Associated Press.

According to today’s autopsies, there were no signs of physical abuse or trauma on the children – ages 7, 2, and 1 – and toxicology tests were pending “to see if they were poisoned or possibly drugged,” Hart said.

“They were not drowned there in the wash machine,” Hart stressed.

Today, the community turned to prayer to understand the slayings at a service for the slain family. (Houston Chronicle)

Alfonso Rodriguez Jr, Dru Sjodin’s Killer Sentenced to Death

The murderer of the University of North Dakota student, Dru Sjodin, was sentenced to death. It became North Dakota’s first death penalty case in over a century. Alfonso Rodriguez Jr, received the sentence that he deserved. He will no longer be able to walk among us and harm innocent people.

Rodriguez, who got out of prison about six months before the killing, was charged under federal law because Sjodin was taken across state lines.

U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley, in his statements to jurors, said the death penalty would be the “right thing, in the right case.” He stood near her portrait and asked for justice. Fox News)

Shannon Nicole Paulk, Teresa Melissa Dean and Heaven Ross … Is there a serial Killer Responsible for all three?

Could the Police be dealing with an “Anniversary Killer”?

Could it be possible that these three cases are connected? Could they have been committed by the same person? Is there a serial killer he takes 11 year old girls from trailer parks in the August 15–19 time period, exactly two years apart? Investigators into each of the three disappearance are starting to question whether there is a pattern and if the three cases are connected. It appears that the same man may have committed the three crimes.

Trailor Park Victims 3

The Shannon Paulk Task Force, formed shortly after Shannon disappeared, announced Tuesday that investigators believe Shannon’s case is related to Teresa’s disappearance and that of Heaven Lashae Ross of Northport, Ala. A statement cited “striking” similarities among the three cases.

  • All three girls were 11 years old.
  • All three were abducted from trailer parks where they lived.
  • All three girls disappeared two years apart – but within days of each other in August.
  • In all three cases, construction, such as commercial construction, roadwork or bridge building, was being done nearby.

(Macon.com)

Shannon Paulk, Teresa Dean and Heaven Ross’ cases all have a striking similarity. Shannon Paulk disappeared from her Candlestick Trailer Park in Prattville, Alabama on August 16, 2001. Shannon’s remains were found on October 6, 2001 seventeen miles from her home in the Autauga County Wild Life Management Area.

Teresa Dean and Heaven Ross both disappeared from their trailer parks in mid-August, exactly two years before and after Shannon’s disappearance. Could the three cases have been done by the same individual. Is it possible that it is just a bizarre coincidence that all three girls taken from trailer parks, exactly two years apart? Seems very unlikely. Many of the characteristics of the three disappearance seems similar. Although at this point only Shannon’s body has been recovered.

A composite sketch was done of an individual who was last seen talking to Shannon Nicole Paulk. 3 girls colorcompositeThis individual; is wanted for questioning.

The man had a mole under his eye that had two hairs growing out of it.  His skin was very tanned and he had creases around his eyes, mouth, and across his brow.  He is described as being 5’11” to 6’ tall, with a stocky build and a medium beer belly.  His arms were very muscular and hairy.  His teeth were yellow and crooked.  There is a bump on the bridge of his nose as if his nose was broken.  He is described as having hazel eyes, sandy blonde hair with darker roots and gray streaks.  His goatee was darker than his hair.

Northport abduction could be serial crime (Disappearance of Heaven LaShae Ross)

Heaven LaShae Ross received a jolt Wednesday when investigators said they were looking into a possible link between her disappearance and those of two other girls under similar circumstances.

“Since Teresa and Heaven are still missing, a definite connection cannot be made,” said a statement released Tuesday by investigators, “but the similarities are striking.”

This has prompted the task force to release two drawings of a man witnesses said was seen with Shannon about 2:30 p.m. on the day she vanished.

The task force describes him as follows:

“In this case the task force really wants to bring attention to the mole under his eye which was described as having two hairs growing out of it toward his nose.

Eleven-year old Teresa Melissa Dean was last seen around eight o’clock in the evening near her home. She has not been seen or heard from since. Despite an extensive search, police unearthed no clues to help them discover what happened to her. Teresa was last seen on August 15, 1999 on Lawrence Drive in Macon, Georgia.

Missing Twiggs girl may be victim of serial abductor (Teresa Melissa Dean)

An 11-year-old Twiggs County girl who disappeared seven years ago might have been the victim of a serial abductor.

Twiggs County Sheriff Darren Mitchum is headed to Prattville, Ala., today to discuss the disappearance of Teresa Melissa Dean seven years ago with authorities investigating disappearances of two Alabama girls.

“If I can stay in office long enough, we’re going to solve this case. That’s my goal,” said Mitchum, who has Teresa’s picture and a composite sketch of a suspect hanging in the lobby of his office.

Mitchum and his colleagues plan to meet with representatives of the “America’s Most Wanted” television program.

“What we’re trying to do is get America’s Most Wanted to do a story on it,” Mitchum said. “We’re going to take this opportunity to get exposure for our case.”

Alabama authorities believe the same person could be responsible for all three cases.

Were there other victims? Police explore possibility of serial abductions

Prattville Police Sgt. Robert Furlong, the lead investigator on the Paulk case, declined to go into details of the investigation, but said the similar circumstances in each case led detectives to take a closer look at the Dean and Ross disappearances.

(Montgomery Advisor)

America’s Most Wanted will be doing a TV show Saturday, September 2, 2006 spotlighting this case.

At around 2:30 p.m. on August 15, 1999, 11 year-old Teresa left her trailer in Twiggs County, Ga. to go to a neighbor’s trailer to play with some puppies.  The neighbor told Teresa that if she could catch one of the puppies, she could take it home. Police say that Teresa told the neighbor was she going home to get her brother to help her bring a puppy home.

Teresa never made it home. She also doesn’t have a brother.

  • Police say a neighbor, who lived a few doors down from Heaven’s home, saw her walk by. And another neighbor, close to the bus stop, says she didn’t see the child at all.

Discussion Forum regarding 3 similar cases can be found here.

John Karr’s Father and Half brother Doubts whether Karr is guilty

The longer and more information that comes out on the “confession” of John Karr in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, the more it looks like its a hoax. Many have speculated that the Boulder, CO DA best have more up their sleeve than a confession from what can best be described as a less than stable individual. Could the DA possibly have brought John Karr all the way from Thailand to CO and arrested him on only a confession?

Now the family of John Karr is stating that he was with them for Christmas 1996. John Karr’s father and half brother are both stating that he is not guilty and that Karr was most likely in either Atlanta or Alabama.

Asked if John Karr, who now sits in a Colorado jail awaiting charges in the Ramsey case, could have been involved in the girl’s death, the suspect’s half brother, Nate Karr. said, “Absolutely not. Emphatically, absolutely without a doubt impossible.”

About his son’s apparent television confession in Thailand, Karr’s father, Wexford Karr, added, “I don’t believe a word of it.”

Asked whether Karr was with his family on Christmas 1996, Nate Karr told ABC News, “Well, I can say almost without question that from the time that John had children he has never missed a Christmas with his family — and that’s any Christmas. So, whether it be in Atlanta with us or with Lara in Alabama, we are positive that from the time period that he had children that he’s never missed a Christmas with his children.”
(ABC News)

John Karr was also provided an alibi by his ex-wife who stated he was not in Boulder, CO.

Karr’s family has said that he was not in Boulder, Colo., at the time of JonBenet’s killing. Lara Karr told ABC News affiliate KGO-TV in San Francisco that she was with her former husband in Alabama, where they lived at the time of JonBenet’s killing, and that she did not believe he was involved in the slaying.

John Mark Karr Will Be Sent to Colorado to face charges in Murder of JonBenet Ramsey

John Mark Karr’s next stop will be Colorado. Tuesday, John Mark Karr agreed to go to Colorado to face “possible” charges in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey.

Boulder County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Carolyn French said Karr had not been formally charged, and described the counts in the warrant as possible charges.

John Mark Karr faces the following possible charges:

In addition to first-degree murder, the counts against Karr in a sealed probable-cause arrest warrant include felony murder, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping and sexual assault on a child.

Felony murder means prosecutors are either accusing Karr of killing JonBenet during the course of a sexual assault or kidnapping, or that he was present while someone else killed the girl.

Felony murder carries the same penalties as first-degree murder: either life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.

Mary Winkler, Suspect in Murder of Husband, Out of Jail on $750K Bond

Mary Winkler released from jail today on $750K bond. Mary Winkler is accused of killing her husband, Pastor Matthew Winkler, with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Mary Winkler, 32, is charged with killing Matthew Winkler with a blast from a 12-gauge shotgun as he lay in bed at the parsonage in Selmer, about 80 miles east of Memphis, Tennessee.

She has been behind bars on a charge of first-degree murder since March 23, the day after his death, awaiting trial in late October.
(Fox News)

With the fact that her emotional state had been deemed fragile, one does wonder whether this is the right decision. Not having constant supervision as in jail may not be a good think for Mary Winkler. She will be allowed to see her daughters, but does have many restrictions and will be monitored by the state probation office.

Wife accused of killing preacher walks out of jail

(CNN) — A preacher’s widow walked Tuesday out of the Tennessee jail where she had been held since her March 23 arrest for allegedly killing her husband with a single shotgun blast.

With eyes cast downward, Mary Winkler clutched the hands of her lawyers, Steve Farese Jr. and Leslie Ballin, and sighed as she walked out the McNairy County Justice Center in Selmer, Tennessee, shortly before noon.

Attorneys for Mary Winkler Say Client Had ‘Life Threatening Experience’

What was the reason given why Mary Winkler allegedly killed her husband. According to her attorneys, the Winkler marriage was not a happy one; however, Mary Winkler did not want to speak ill of her husband.

VAN SUSTEREN: And what did she — what did he say on the record she said?

BALLUM: Well, she did not want to talk about why. She didn’t want to talk badly about her husband. She didn’t do it in life and she was persisting in that closed mouth, if you will, and not talking bad about him after his death. She did not want his name smeared in public.

VAN SUSTEREN: Leslie, I know that both of you only talk about what’s public and on the record that we could dig up elsewhere so let me ask you this. Was there any sort of explanation given or presented in court as to whether or not this was an unhappy marriage?

BALLUM: There was an explanation given. At one point in the interview Mary Carol talked about a life-threatening event of some six years earlier. She went on to further explain that as of the year preceding March 22nd, the date of the event that things had gotten bad again. So, she talked about her life being threatened. She talked about things being bad.

VAN SUSTEREN: Leslie, so what was it? What was — I mean, not Leslie, Steve, what was it? What was bad?

FARISE: Well, their situation was bad. As Leslie has talked about there was a situation some years ago. She only spoke in general terms because she was being very careful to protect her husband. But it was very clear to us, as it was to the interviewers that something terribly wrong had occurred and she again was trying to protect him, so she didn’t go into any details. In fact, at times she said things like “Let me be the bad person in this.”
