If its a school story, it must be another teacher-student sexual exploitation case. 23 year old Allenna Williams Ward is accused of having sex with 5 boys whose ages range from 14 to 15. Ward was busted when an inappropriate note from the teach to one of the victims was found in the garbage.
CLINTON, S.C. (WLTX, AP) — Authorities say a 23-year-old female middle school teacher was arrested Wednesday, accused of having sex with five boys in locations including the school, at a motel, in a park and behind a restaurant.
Clinton Public Safety Director John Thomas says some of the 14- and 15-year-old victims were students at Bell Street Middle School in Laurens School District 56, where Allenna Williams Ward taught. Others went to a different school.
Investigators say there could be more victims.
Warrants show Ward is charged with five counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and six counts of lewd acts on a minor. The incidents occurred between November and continued up through the past few weeks.
Ward has been fired from her job and is under house arrest. I wonder if this was a male teacher whether the bale would have been so low and house arrest deemed appropriate if 5 female 14 and 15 year old girls had been molested?
School district officials say they held an emergency meeting and fired Ward from her job. Thursday morning, bond was set at $110,000: $10,000 for each of the eleven charges. Terms of her bond include no contact with the alleged victims, no cell phone use, and if she posts bond, Ward is under house arrest.

A prominent 48 year old attorney Philip Russell has been charged with obstructing justice and destroying evidence in the Robert F. Tate/Christ Church of Greenwich, CT child porn scandal.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) A prominent defense attorney was accused of destroying a computer containing child pornography that belonged to his client, a former church music director, according to an indictment unsealed Friday.
Philip Russell has pleaded not guilty to the charges; however, the indictments reads as follows. Russell faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 on each count.
The indictment says Russell destroyed a laptop computer Oct. 9 containing child pornography that was owned by Robert F. Tate, the former music director at Christ Church in Greenwich, where the former President George H.W. Bush once worshipped.Tate pleaded guilty in January to possessing child pornography.
A church employee discovered images of naked boys on Oct. 7 while using Tate’s computer, according to the indictment. A day later, church officials sealed and wrapped Tate’s laptop, treating it as evidence, authorities said.
Russell took Tate’s computer and, after learning it contained images of naked boys, “altered, destroyed, mutilated and concealed it by taking it apart,” according to the indictment.
Lawyer indicted in child porn case: Feds charge Russell took church computer, destroyed evidence
Church officials sealed and wrapped Tate’s laptop, treating it as evidence, according to the indictment. But on Oct. 9, Russell took the computer, the indictment alleges.
Also on Oct. 9 church officials and Russell allowed Tate to pack a bag, in which he put some of the child pornography and discarded the bag, according to the indictment.
Tate resigned and Russell and church officials arranged for him to travel to California, where he was ultimately arrested, according to the indictment.
“The exploitation of children is a serious offense that this office will fully prosecute,” said U.S. Attorney Kevin O’Connor. “Those who possess child pornography or hinder the prosecution of those who do by destroying evidence and impeding investigations will be prosecuted, particularly when the obstructionists are attorneys and officers of the court.” (Greenwich Times)

William Lorenzo Page, 23, the father of Nyia Miangel Page whose body was found Sunday at an abandoned playground was charged with criminal homicide, kidnapping, false reports and simple assault.
A man angry his toddler daughter wouldn’t go to bed knocked her unconscious and left her to die outside in single-digit temperatures, police said.
The frozen body of Nyia Miangel Page, who was about to turn 2, was found Sunday at an abandoned playground about a 10-minute walk from the family’s home. Tiny footprints in the snow suggest she had gotten up and wandered around before she died, police said. (AP)
William Lorenzo Page was in jail on unrelated charges. Those charges consisted sexually abusing another child shortly before Nyia died. What a piece of human garbage this one is.
The sexual abuse charge against Page came as police investigated Nyia’s disappearance.
Police said another child in the house told investigators that sometime overnight Friday, Page entered a bedroom, covered the child’s mouth with one hand and touched the child’s genitals with the other. The child said Page then left the room, followed by Nyia, police said.

Amber Alert Cancelled For Missing Braddock Toddler
This afternoon, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner was called to Rankin where a body was found matching the description of the missing toddler.
Officials have not confirmed the identity of the body.
Crews had been searching the area for the missing toddler, marking abandoned houses and trash cans as they searched.
KDKA’s Ross Guidotti reports the body was found off of Fleet Street in a wooded area.
Right now, police have not determined if the death was a homicide.
Meanwhile, Allegheny County Police Lt. Bob Downey confirmed that detective teams at county police were visiting and interviewing Megan’s law violators in Braddock and North Braddock.
Saturday, authorities questioned Page’s father, cousin and grandmother’s boyfriend, the only three adult males in the house.
Page’s father has been brought in for a second round of questioning and another polygraph test. (KDKA)
UPDATE II: Body of Missing Pennsylvania Toddler Discovered at Abandoned Playground
An autopsy will be conducted Monday.
Rankin Mayor Nicholas Glova said earlier Sunday that investigators had found the body of a girl about four blocks from where Nyia Page lived. He said authorities were doing everything possible to find out what happened over the past 24 hours.
The body of Page, who was reported missing Saturday, was found in an abandoned playground.
Police gave no immediate details of the discovery. No immediate arrests had been made.
Another child alerted other family members that Page was not in her bed at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. They searched for her in vain before calling police, according to authorities. (Fox News)
UPDATE III: Toddler’s death ruled homicide
The death of Nyia Miangel Page, the 23-month-old girl whose body was found in Rankin following a two-day search, was a homicide, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office said today. Following an autopsy today, the office ruled that the Braddock girl died of hypothermia and exposure.
Nyia was found about 3:30 p.m. Sunday along the southeastern slope of the Hawkins Village public housing project. She was last seen alive by several family members about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Family members reported her missing about seven hours later, said county police Superintendent Charles Moffatt. (Pittsburgh Live)
UPDATE IV: Missing Child’s Father Jailed On Unrelated Charges
The familiar pattern of a person being arrested on an unrelated charge. Could this just be a way of holding a potential suspect as we have seen so many other times in past missing person and homicide cases?
(KDKA) PITTSBURGH There’s still no arrest in connection with the little girl from Braddock whose frozen body was found Sunday.
However, now her father has been jailed on corruption charges involving another child and the Medical Examiner has released information on how Nyia Page died.

Investigators believe that due to Lewis’ failure to cooperate, valuable time was wasted in locating the missing girl, deputies said.
Lewis previously was arrested by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office in September 1995 and booked with auto theft, felony theft and aggravated kidnapping, deputies said.
Lewis was charged with those crimes after he allegedly kidnapped a woman in Livingston Parish by placing a screwdriver to her throat and forcing her to drive to an unknown location, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
During the drive, the victim escaped by getting out of the vehicle, leaving Lewis to steal her vehicle along with her purse and other personal items, according to reports at the time.
Lewis was convicted and sentenced to seven years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with five years suspended, thus serving two years of prison time for the offenses. (The Advocate)

In this sleepy bayou village of 900, the missing-person posters have been ripped from storefront windows; the sounds of four-wheelers and other search vehicles were stilled.
About 10 miles away, quiet also permeated the area near New River Bayou in Ascension Parish where Kaitlin’s body was discovered, partially submerged.
Handpicked flowers, bouquets of roses and a pink teddy bear were tied with yellow police tape to a tree near the bayou. (The Advocate)

19 year old Jacquelan Hartman has been missing since Sunday in Gilbert, Arizona.
Jacquelan “Jackie” Hartman was last seen at about 1 a.m. when she left her Gilbert home to meet a friend in the area of Williams Field Road and Val Vista Drive, police said.
Jackie Hartman Description:
- white
- 5 feet 7 inches tall

- blue eyes
- shoulder-length brown hair with blonde highlights

If anyone has any information please call (480) 503-6500.
UPDATE I: Police believe missing Gilbert woman killed during rape by Jonathan Burns
Police believe that ex-convict Jonathan Burns raped and murdered Jackie Hartman. Burns has been arrested on charges of sexual assault in the case. Just another case of a predator on the loose and an unsuspecting victim in the wrong place at the wrong time. Can we brand ex-cons to let people know who and what they are dealing with at this point? Jackie Hartman’s clothes, including a bloody shirt, bra and panties near Burn’s home.
Jonathan Ian Burns/Jackie Hartman
Hartman was last seen with Burns at about 2 a.m. Sunday, and was supposed to meet her sister about three hours later. While being questioned by police, Burns admitted having sex with her and said he dropped her off about 5 a.m. and went home, according to the probable cause statement.
But cell phone records show he drove north on Highway 87 during that time and was unaccounted for between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday, the court record shows. Officers searching near his apartment found Hartman’s purse, sandals, shirt, bra and panties in a trash bin near Burns’ home.
The shirt and bra were ripped in half, and there were what appeared to be bullet holes in the bloody shirt, officers wrote. (KVOA News 4)
UPDATE II: Arrest linked to missing woman
It has literally gotten to the point that back ground checks are needed before girls go out on dates. What a sad story and rather heinous act that this ex-con committed.
A 25-year-old felon has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after police found a missing Gilbert woman’s bullet-ridden, torn clothing in a dumpster near his home, according to court documents.
Burns spent more than seven years in Arizona prisons on convictions of burglary, promoting prison contraband and an arson offense, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections Web site.
Duncan said police believe Hartman and Burns were acquaintances, although details of how they met were sketchy. “We are still looking for Jackie,” Duncan said. (AZ Central)
According to her family, Jacquelan “Jackie” Hartman, 19, was on her first date when she was reported missing early Sunday morning.
UPDATE III: Missing Gilbert woman, Jacquelan “Jackie” Hartman, met man at gas station
The man suspected of kidnapping and raping a missing Gilbert woman met her at a gas station days before her disappearance, said Daniel Smith, 20, who works at Banner Baywood Hospital with the 19-year-old woman.
“She didn’t know what she was getting herself into,” Smith said. (East Valley Tribune)
UPDATE IV: Police seek missing woman’s clothing
Police are asking for the public’s help locating clothing last worn by a missing 19-year-old Gilbert woman as they work this weekend to find her.
the public’s help is needed in locating the tan sweater and blue jeans, which could be anywhere from Chandler, where other evidence was found, to Sunflower, Ruet said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Gilbert police at (480) 503-6500 (AZ Central)
UPDATE V: Search continues for missing Gilbert teen
The search continues for the 19 year old missing nursing school student Jackie Hartman. Volunteers and authorities alike helped in the search for Jackie.
Hundreds of volunteers and police continue to scour the desert northeast of metro Phoenix in search of a 19-year-old nursing student, who is thought to have been brutally raped and murdered.
Volunteers picked through the prickly pear and mesquite on foot, horseback, ATVs and dirt bikes Saturday in search of Jackie Hartman of Gilbert.
Police believe Hartmans body may have been dumped in the wilderness between Fountain Hills and Payson, where Burns used his cell phone within a few hours of Hartmans disappearance.
Because of the uncertainty about whether Hartman is alive, police sent two types of K-9 units Saturday: tracking dogs to sniff for her scent, and cadaver dogs to scout for decomposition.
“We’ll be here as long as it takes, or until sundown,” said Barbara Markley, a former corrections officer from Florence. She and Amy Wells, of Mesa, headed out on foot, planning to “think like criminals.”
Some 50 officers from Gilbert and Chandler police departments, the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office, the Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Game and Fish Department joined 100 trained volunteers from Sheriff Joe Arpaios posse to begin a highly coordinated search for Hartman at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. (AZ Starnet)

There has been some dispute as to the relationship between George Horner and the 6 year old girls mother.
UPDATE: Mom speaks in press conference. It was she who notified the police. She was not aware he was a sex offender, “Or he would not have been within 100 million miles of my house!” Alvarez met Horner through a mutual friend, and said she trusted him because a good friend did. (Digital Journal)
UPDATE III: Arizona Police Seek Suspect in Sexual Assault, Kidnap of 6-Year-old Girl
Officials had initially identified Horner as the mother’s live-in boyfriend, but Lt. Scott Elliott later said Horner had only been staying at the home after being introduced to the mother by a mutual friend. The Associated Press initially identified the girl but is no longer doing so because she is believed to have been sexually assaulted.
Horner was supposed to take the girl to school Friday. But the mother called police after her call to her house from work went unanswered and after being told the girl wasn’t at school.

There is good new to report in the abduction of 31 year old Kimberly Walker and her four missing children: 9-year-old Jaylan, Justin, 8; Kyara, 6; and 16-month-old Kayla. All have been found safe and are well. They were found Tuesday night in a hotel. Jerry D. White, 30, was arrested.
ALL FOUND SAFE
ELKHART, Ind. – A mother and her four children were found safe Tuesday night at a motel just miles from where police said the father shot a man and abducted them three days earlier, authorities said. He was arrested as he tried to escape through an air duct.
Jerry D. White, 30, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and several counts of confinement, police said.
Investigators were able to trace the family to the Sleepy Hollow motel, about 6 miles from Walker’s home, in part because Walker had made three calls to relatives from a nearby pay phone saying they were safe, said Detective Sgt. Bill Wargo.
Officers knocked on the door of the motel room about 8 p.m. Tuesday and heard rumbling inside, after which Walker opened the door. (Yahoo News)
A truly tremendous job by all law enforcement to bring this to a safe ending.

Sixty-year-old Wayne Logan was arrested in Memphis, TN for allegedly paying the mother of an 8 year old girl to have sex with the minor. Wayne Logan is Shelby County Sheriff’s Department employee and remains in jail. Think the story is bizarre? It get even more so.
Wayne Logan is engaged to Judge Joyce Broffit, General Sessions Judge.
Logan is engaged to General Sessions Judge Joyce Broffitt and records show he used her as a reference when he got his job in the Sheriff’s Department’s records and identification office. He is on paid leave from the department while the case is pending.
Police said Logan was charged with raping an eight-year-old girl after the child picked him out of a photo lineup. (My Eye Witness News)
So the suspect is not only an employee of the Sheriff’s Department, he is also involved in a relationship with a sitting judge. No conflict of interest there. Thus, because of the ties all of the General Session judges recused themselves from the case.
Wayne Logan appeared in court yesterday for his first hearing on child rape charges, but all the General Sessions court judges in Shelby County recused themselves.
Logan’s attorney, Leslie Ballin, says the General Sessions judges agreed it would be inappropriate for them to hear the case because his fiancĂ© is a sitting General Sessions Court judge. (WMC-TV)
UPDATE: New Judge named in the Wayne Logan case.
Memphis, Tenn. (WHBQ) Former Rutherford County Judge Steven Davis has now been named to hear the case of Wayne Logan, the Shelby County worker accused of having sex with an eight-year old girl.
Shelby County Judges had asked for a visiting judge to be assigned because Logan has a relationship with Shelby County Judge Joyce Broffit.
Its is also being reported that a woman has come forward and has stated that Wayne Logan may have abused at least one more girl. However, there may be more.
The mother of the 8 year old girl is also being charged in the case and pimping her daughter to a 61 year old man.
Twenty-seven year-old Sharon Crawford is charged with accepting money in exchange for letting a man have sex with her little girl.
The story came to light when the 8 year old girl complained of pain to a teacher in school. This is just a shameful story and situation.
The police officer who arrested Crawford wrote that the 8 year-old girl first told her teacher about “pain between her legs”.
The report goes on to say “the 8 year-old victim advised the teacher that it was her mother’s friend. The victim also stated that this occurred several times and that when it does, her mother gets money. The 8 year-old victim further stated that she is made to perform oral and vaginal sex acts with her mother’s friend.” (My Eye Witness News)

It had been speculated for quite some time that the individual in custody on an unrelated charge, Justin Thurber, was the main suspect in the murder of Jodi Sanderholm. Today the Kansas AG has charged Justin Thurber with the rape and murder of Jodi Leann Sanderholm.
Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison and Cowley County Attorney Christopher Smith today filed charges against Justin Eugene Thurber for the murder of Jodi Leann Sanderholm. Thurber has been charged with Capital Murder, Rape and Aggravated Kidnapping.
Authorities believe Thurber kidnapped Sanderholm following her dance practice on Friday, January 5th. According to police, he then drove her to a rural part of southeast Cowley County where she was raped and murdered. Police also allege that Thurber then disposed of Sanderholm’s car in the Cowley County State Fishing Lake. (KWCH)
Charges announced in Jodi Sanderholm case
The evidence shows Sanderholm was kidnapped at midday Jan. 5, raped and strangled within about three hours, Morrison said.
Authorities had said last week they were preparing charges against a suspect already in the Cowley County Jail on unrelated charges.
Thurber was taken into custody the weekend Sanderholm disappeared. (Kansas City.com)
Justin Thurber seems to have quite the frequent issue when it comes to breaking the law.
On Jan. 1, Thurber was charged with false impersonation and disorderly conduct. Thurber has also been charged with burglary, forgery, theft and drug possession.
Two women have also accused Thurber of stalking and have filed protection petitions in Winfield and Arkansas City.
