AMBER ALERT: 29-day-old Brayn Dos Santos Gomes Abducted in Fort Myers, FL

An Amber Alert has been issued for 29-day-old Brayn Dos Santos Gomes who was abducted with his mother, Maria Fatima Ramos Dos Santos, on Friday afternoon by a woman driving a black SUV. The mother was released by the abductor south of Fort Myers; however, the new born was not.

Ramos was released south of Fort Myers shortly afterward but the woman kept the baby, Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman Larry Long said Saturday. An Amber Alert was issued for the infant.

Police said the woman could be heading to Miami or Tampa in two-door SUV, which has window tint that is peeling. (AP)

Description of the abduction:

The mother and Brayn, as well as another woman and a baby, were approached by the woman in the SUV while walking along a road Friday, police said. The driver asked for directions to a neighborhood. The women, who did not know the driver, agreed to give directions and entered the vehicle with their children, police said.

The women showed the driver the neighborhood, and she drove the two mothers and children back toward where she picked them up, police said. The driver then forced one mother and child out of the car, and made off with Ramos and the baby, who was born Nov. 3, police said. (Herald Tribune)

Police: “We’re looking for someone who is very cunning”

“We’re looking for someone who is very cunning,” Mike Carr, a sergeant with the Fort Myers Police Department, told a 4 p.m. press briefing. “She already had a baby seat, a diaper bag and no child. She was prepared to do this.”

Police had a computer generated composite of the suspect, but were not satisfied it was an accurate depiction, Carr said.

“We’re trying to get a sketch prepared by a forensic artist,” he added. (The News Press)

Police are investigating a rather unsusal lead. The kidnapper used one of the abducted woman’s cell phones and placed a call that was recorded.

Investigators are still trying to assess the significance of the tape recording they believe holds the kidnapper’s voice.

In an unusual turn of events, investigators were able to determine that the kidnapper used the phone of one of the abducted women to make a telephone call. She pretended to call her mother, Carr said. But, the call was actually made to an area business, he added.

While the kidnapper pretended to have a conversation, an answering machine at the business recorded her voice.

Glendy L. Bowman, 17, Pregnant Teen Missing after last seen leaving with boyfriend, Joseph A. Aguilar

A 17 year old pregnant girl, Glenda L. Bowman, is missing. Bowman was last seen getting into a car with her boyfriend, Joseph A. Aguilar, and another friend. Her disappearance is being considered suspicious. Witnesses at the scene claim that Aguilar was hitting and pulling Glenda Bowman in to the car.

Glendy L. Bowman was with several friends Sunday evening at McDonald’s at Sterling Town Center when her boyfriend, Joseph A. Aguilar, and a friend pulled up in a dark-colored Toyota Echo about 6 p.m., Loudoun County sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell said.

Witnesses told investigators that Aguilar and Bowman, who have been dating about three years, got into a heated argument before Aguilar forced her, against her will, to get in the car, Troxell said.

Although Glenda Bowman was described as a frequent runaway; however, the witnesses described more of an assault and that she was taken against her will.

Aguilar, who has family in Haymarket in Prince William County and whose last known address was in Sterling, ran away with Bowman last year, Troxell said. Sheriff’s investigators traced the couple to Guatemala, where they were staying with family, he said. (Washington Post)

Anyone with information to call Loudoun police  at 703-777-1021. To remain anonymous, call the tip line at 703-777-1919.

Pregnant Teenager Remains Missing 5 days after being forced into car against her will

“She was forced into the car by her boyfriend who was assaulting her at the time,” Troxell said her friends told authorities.

Troxell said Bowman and Joseph A. Aguilar’s two-year relationship could be described as tumultuous, and the couple has disappeared before.

From police accounts the boyfriend, Joseph A. Aguilar, is not being cooperative.

He said authorities have spoken with Aguilar on the phone and that Bowman’s friends have said they have seen her at various locations, but he said the department couldn’t confirm the sightings and haven’t spoken with Aguilar in person.

“He’s not being very cooperative,” Troxell said in describing Aguilar.

Before disappearing Sunday night, Troxell said Bowman took her mother’s car without permission; it was recovered near the McDonald’s, he said. (Leesburg Today)

“Buddy Up for Safety” Program Put forth in Burlington, VT in wake of death of Michelle Gardner Quinn

All to often college age students think they are invincible and bullet proof. Then tragically they are reminded that they are not as in the case of murdered UVM student Michelle Gardner-Quinn. Burlington, VT police are stressing the “Buddy Up for Safety” program. We would stress to always use judgment. One never needs to walk around in constant fear, one needs to just use judgment. That includes the friends around college age kids as well. You all know when one of your friends, whether drunk or impaired, is doing something that contains a high risk. Step in and be vocal. Help your friends that may not be able to make a proper choice for themselves, it may be the only chance you have to save them. Don’t let friends go off alone or with strangers … please “buddy up”.

The new awareness program called “Buddy Up for Safety” advises people to walk with others, carry a charged cell phone containing emergency contact numbers and park in well-lighted spots.

“If grabbed, don’t freeze or panic. Draw attention to yourself by yelling worlds like ‘Call 911,’ ‘Help’ and ‘No,’ loudly and repeatedly,” he said.

Tremblay said he will encourage UVM to add more emergency phone call stations on Main Street “to send a message that this is a safe area.” (WCAX)

Paroled Child Murderer, Danny R. Rouse, Kills again … this time 16 year old Stephanie Wagner

What the hell is going on in this country? Since when do we parole convicted child murders? Danny R. RouseWhat the hell is the justice and parole departments thinking? What is the end result? Another murder!!!

Indiana State Police confirmed that the body of 16 year old Stephanie Faye Wagner was found Wednesday night after she had disappeared on Tuesday night after leaving work.

Danny R. Rouse, a 51-year-old convicted child murderer, has confessed to the murder and brought police to the body of missing 16 year old Stephanie Wagner. Stephanie Wagner had been missing and an AMBER ALERT had been issued regarding her possible abduction. The AMBER ALERT was canceled after a co -worker told police where they could find her body.

Investigators found the body of Stephanie Wagner in a northwestern Indiana field Wednesday night after the co-worker, Danny R. Rouse, told them where to look and confessed to killing her, police said.

Rouse, 51, was arrested and held without bond at the Cass County Jail. Sheriff’s Detective Tom Wallace testified at a probable cause hearing Thursday that Rouse admitted strangling Wagner and then stabbing her.

Prosecutor Kevin Enyeart said he expected to charge Rouse with murder later Thursday. The court hearing was to continue Friday.

Rouse and Wagner left the Indian Head Restaurant, where they both worked, at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Her mother reported her missing about six hours later.
Maybe some one would like to explain to this distraught family and the community how this Stephanie Wagnerscum bag was walking the streets? Danny Rouse is a convicted child killer. He spent 26 years in prison for stabbing a 5 year old boy to death. So what’s he do after he is paroled? Stabs a teenager to death. The Kansas Parole board she be found guilt of aiding in the murder of Stephanie Wagner.

Rouse was convicted in the 1979 murder of a 5-year-old boy and stabbing of the child’s mother. He was paroled in March after spending 26 years in a Kansas prison.

Upon his release in March, Rouse requested that he be allowed to move to Indiana. His parole supervision was then transferred to a South Bend parole office. (WNBC4)
Someone really needs to explain why Danny Rouse was not in jail for life without parole. The taking of someone’s life means that you actually get to walk a free person? I do not think so. The Kansas Parole Board has some explaining. Seven months after this killer was paroled, he kills again. Read why this killer was in prison in the first place. He was convicted of First degree murder.

Rouse was convicted of first-degree murder in the 1979 slaying of Jason Learst at a Wichita, Kan., apartment, The Wichita Eagle reported today. Rouse also was convicted of stabbing of the boy’s mother, Kathryn Crowley.

During Rouse’s jury trial, witnesses testified that Rouse and Crowley drank beer and smoked marijuana while watching television at Crowley’s apartment. Crowley rejected a verbal sexual advance, after which he stabbed or cut her with a knife 12 times, according to court testimony.

The attack ended when Crowley collapsed and pretended to be dead. Kansas police said Rouse then went to Jason’s bedroom and cut the boy’s throat as he slept.
Rouse pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity at his trial, but a jury convicted him of first-degree murder. (Indy Star)
