47 year old Patricia Ann Presba has been missing since Thursday, July 24, 2008. What makes this missing persons case bizarre is that her husband, Ron Presba, went missing one month earlier. When police arrived at the home of Patricia Presba, they found blood on the door.
At 10:45 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a home at 4500 Meadow Brook Road near Georgetown, the home of Patricia Presba.
When they got there, deputies noted that the front door of the residence was ajar and had what appeared to be blood on it. Deputies checked the inside of the residence and noted more blood. No one was found inside.
Patricia Ann Presba Description:
-
5-foot-7 tall
-
160 pounds
-
with brown hair
-
hazel eyes.
-
She is known to drive a blue/green 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and associate with a man named Jaime Ramos
-
Presba is listed as “at risk” because of the circumstances that surrounded the incident, and a missing persons report was filed.
Patricia Ann Presba disappeared approximately one month after her husband, Ronald Presba’s, SUV was found burned with human remains inside.
Presba is the wife of Ronald Presba, 54, whose SUV was found burned out at the base of a ravine along Highway 193 near Kelsey on June 25, a sheriff’s staffer said.
Human remains were found in the passenger compartment of the Chevy Suburban, but a forensic autopsy has not determined conclusively if the remains were of Ronald Presba.

UPDATE I: Police: Utah Arrests Linked To El Dorado Search; 2 Taken Into Custody At Motel 6
(click on pic for video)
Two people have been taken into custody in Salt Lake City in connection with the mysterious recent disappearance of two people in the Georgetown area of El Dorado County, a television station reported.
The pair, who were not immediately identified, were found at a Motel 6, KSL television reported.
KSL said agents from the Utah Division of Motor Vehicle Enforcement were running license plates at the Motel 6 at 1900 West and North Temple when police said they found a 2003 Hyundai wanted in connection with the El Dorado County disappearances.
Salt Lake City police officers were called to assist. Officers from the DMV arrested a woman as she came out of her motel room and headed toward the car. The man was arrested in his room shortly afterward without incident, KSL reported.
According to reports, the man and woman arrested in the hotel were both taken to the hospital to treat wounds on both parties.
According to Salt Lake City police Lt. Scott White, the man was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be three gunshot wounds. The woman had a stab wound on her arm. Investigators don’t know if they had just happened, or if they were older wounds.
Also, since the disappearance of Patricia Presba, the police have also been looking for an associate of Presba’s, Jaime Ramos.
(Is this man who was arrested Jaime Ramos? Was the woman with his Patricia Presba being held against her will? ABC4)
UPDATE II: Riddle of disappearances deepens; Pair in Salt Lake City with car linked to missing wife face questioning
And even as El Dorado County detectives traveled Friday to Salt Lake City to question two people found at an airport hotel with a car linked to Patricia Presba, not much had been cleared up in this foothills mystery.
A vehicle found at a Motel 6 appeared to be a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon associated with Patricia Presba, authorities said. Golmitz could not confirm the identity of a man and woman taken into custody with the car or whether they are connected to the Presba case.
According to Salt Lake City media outlets, the man taken into custody had three gunshot wounds and the woman had stab wounds to her arm.
“I would surmise that (detectives) would be going to meet with individuals surrounding yesterday’s events,” Golmitz said. “And whatever information they can glean from them in regard to last month’s incident.”

Matthew J. Wilson, a junior at Rice University in Houston has been missing since December 15, 2007. Wilson’s car was recently found on June 10, 2008 in the 1200 block of Allston Way in Berkeley, CA.
Matthew Wilson Description:
Cathy Wilson, the mother of missing Matthew Wilson has flown to the Bay Area from Oklahoma and joined the search for her son.
His mother, Cathy Wilson, recently flew to the Bay Area from Oklahoma and joined the search for her son Saturday afternoon, according to Bridget Melson, co-founder of Trinity Search and Recovery.
“People really dig back into memory when they see her,” Melson said. ‘She looks so much like her son.”
The group will resume the search at about 2 p.m. today and plans on making stops at University of California-Berkeley as well as Bay Area Rapid Transit stations in Berkeley, San Francisco, Oakland and Walnut Creek.
Melson said there have been more than 10 reported sightings of Matt Wilson in the Bay Area, including several in Walnut Creek within the last week.
Trinity Search and Recovery has handed out fliers to businesses in the area of some of the sightings, and employees reported seeing a man who fit Matt Wilson’s description, Melson said.
Cathy Wilson walks through People’s Park in Berkeley asking people if they have seen her missing son, Matthew. His car was found abandoned in Berkeley last month.

Mom comes to Bay Area to look for missing son
After the car was found on June 10, dirty and abandoned, on Allston Way in central Berkeley, a Pleasanton group that helps families search for missing loved ones got involved. The organization, called Trinity Search & Recovery, created a Web site with photos of Matthew and set up a telephone number for tips. A $25,000 reward is being offered by his mother, Rice University and Crime Stoppers of Houston.
Police in Berkeley and at Rice University have said they do not suspect foul play in Matthew’s disappearance. The book on identity theft suggests that Matthew may have considered changing his name, his mother said, but if that’s the case, it seems unlikely he would keep his flaming red hair and beard.

24 year old Holley Wimunc was reported missing Thursday morning, July 10, 2008 when she failed to show up for work at Womack Army Hospital at Ft. Bragg. Fayetteville police were dispatched to Wimunc’s apartment home on Thursday morning at the Morganton Place Apartments on Morganton Road near Bonaza Drive to find her apartment smoldering and a strong odor of gasoline. Holley Wimunc was not found at the scene and is considered a missing person.
Missing Lt. Holley Wimunc
When officers arrived on the scene it was determined that there was evidence of an arson,” Fayetteville Police Lt. David Sportsman said.
Investigators say two bedrooms were burned and a back window was broken out. Wimunc was missing, but her car was still in the parking lot.
All signs in this case point to a terrible situation. A missing 24 year old woman, a burned apartment of which the cause was arson, a messy divorce, reports of domestic violence and a retraining order in which according to documents claim that Holley Wiminc’s husband threatened her and threatened to commit suicide.
In a court filing for a protective order, Wimunc said that in May her husband had knocked her down, held a loaded gun to her head and then threatened to commit suicide, WRAL reported.
The court documents indicate that John Wimunc is a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune, the station reported.
According to court documents, Lt. Holley Wimunc was going through a divorce with her husband, Marine Corporal John Wimunc. Holley Wimnuc previously had taken out a restraining order against him. documents report that on occasion, Corporal John Wimunc held a gun to his wife’s head and threatened to killer her.
The Fayetteville Police Department identified 24-year-old Holley Wimunc, a second lieutenant at the Womack Army Hospital at Fort Bragg, as missing and endangered Friday. A smoldering blaze was found Thursday morning at her apartment by a concerned colleague after Wimunc failed to show up for her nursing job in the military hospital’s maternity ward.
Authorities quickly ruled that the fire had been intentionally set with the help of an accelerant, Lt. David Sportsman, spokesman for the Fayetteville Police Department, told ABC News in an interview Friday. Investigators spent Thursday contacting Wimunc’s family and friends, hoping she’d intentionally taken off. Wimunc was nowhere to be found, and authorities identified her Friday so the public could possibly help in the investigation. (ABC News)
Soldier Missing After Apartment Fire
Wimunc was gone, but her car was still in the parking lot, police said. They towed the car — a white Dodge — to a site where it could be examined.
Houp said taking the car was a precautionary measure.
“We don’t want to leave any stone unturned,” he said.
Investigators with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies waited at a police command post outside the building most of the day for warrants to search the apartment. They entered the apartment about 7:15 p.m.
Another Fort Bragg soldier is under investigation, as her apartment is found destroyed by an allegedly set fire, and she is nowhere to be found.

UPDATE II: Charred human remains found in Onslow on the south end of Camp Lejeune
Authorities are reporting a grisly discovery in what they suspect may be the body of missing Army 2nd Lt. Holley Lynn Wimunc. The remains discovered appear to have been burned and mutilated.
SNEADS FERRY, NC (WTVD) — Onslow Sheriff’s investigators and military authorities are investigating charred human remains found near Camp Lejeune.
Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown said the human remains were found Sunday in a shallow grave off Old Folkstone Road in Sneads Ferry. Sneads Ferry is on the south end of Camp Lejeune.
Investigators believe someone set a fire in the area in an attempt to cover up a crime.
Neither the Onslow County Sheriff’s Officer or military authorities have confirmed whether this is connected to the disappearance of Fort Bragg soldier Holley Wimunc.
Charred remains found near Camp Lejeune
“We did in fact find human remains in what appeared to be a shallow grave. (The remains) are being guarded now by law enforcement officers. The crime scene will be processed first thing tomorrow morning,” Hudson said.
Remains found near Lejeune may be missing soldier
“There was physical evidence that indicated the body had been there for a substantial period of time,” Hudson said.
The body had been burned prior to the brush fire, Hudson said. There is reason to suspect it is Holley Wimunc, Hudson said, but he would not specify why. He said investigators left the body in place under guard Sunday night and plan to examine it closer today.
He would not discuss whether investigators have a suspect or suspects.
The Jacksonville Daily News, citing unnamed sources, reported Sunday that investigators found “bladed weapons” near the body and that it was mutilated.
