Patricia Ann Presba, 47, Missing Since 7/24/2008 … Husband, Ron Presba, Went Missing One Month Earlier

47 year old Patricia Ann Presba has been missing since Thursday, July 24, 2008. What makes this missing persons case bizarre is that her husband, Ron Presba, went missing one month earlier. When police arrived at the home of Patricia Presba, they found blood on the door.

At 10:45 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a home at 4500 Meadow Brook Road near Georgetown, the home of Patricia Presba.

When they got there, deputies noted that the front door of the residence was ajar and had what appeared to be blood on it. Deputies checked the inside of the residence and noted more blood. No one was found inside.

Presba is the wife of Ronald Presba, 54, whose SUV was found burned out at the base of a ravine along Highway 193 near Kelsey on June 25, a sheriff’s staffer said.

Human remains were found in the passenger compartment of the Chevy Suburban, but a forensic autopsy has not determined conclusively if the remains were of Ronald Presba.

Two people have been taken into custody in Salt Lake City in connection with the mysterious recent disappearance of two people in the Georgetown area of El Dorado County, a television station reported.

The pair, who were not immediately identified, were found at a Motel 6, KSL television reported.

KSL said agents from the Utah Division of Motor Vehicle Enforcement were running license plates at the Motel 6 at 1900 West and North Temple when police said they found a 2003 Hyundai wanted in connection with the El Dorado County disappearances.

Salt Lake City police officers were called to assist. Officers from the DMV arrested a woman as she came out of her motel room and headed toward the car. The man was arrested in his room shortly afterward without incident, KSL reported.

According to reports, the man and woman arrested in the hotel were both taken to the hospital to treat wounds on both parties.

According to Salt Lake City police Lt. Scott White, the man was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be three gunshot wounds. The woman had a stab wound on her arm. Investigators don’t know if they had just happened, or if they were older wounds.

Also, since the disappearance of Patricia Presba, the police have also been looking for an associate of Presba’s, Jaime Ramos.

UPDATE II: Riddle of disappearances deepens; Pair in Salt Lake City with car linked to missing wife face questioning

And even as El Dorado County detectives traveled Friday to Salt Lake City to question two people found at an airport hotel with a car linked to Patricia Presba, not much had been cleared up in this foothills mystery.

A vehicle found at a Motel 6 appeared to be a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon associated with Patricia Presba, authorities said. Golmitz could not confirm the identity of a man and woman taken into custody with the car or whether they are connected to the Presba case.

According to Salt Lake City media outlets, the man taken into custody had three gunshot wounds and the woman had stab wounds to her arm.

“I would surmise that (detectives) would be going to meet with individuals surrounding yesterday’s events,” Golmitz said. “And whatever information they can glean from them in regard to last month’s incident.”

Jail Records reveal one of the people in custody in Salt Lake City is the missing woman from El Dorado County. Salt Lake County Jail’s information page, shows Patricia Presba was booked at 3:18 Mountain Time. The other person in custody is believed to be Jamie Ramos, but that has not been confirmed. Presba was reported missing Thursday and her Hyundai was gone as well. Her front door was found open and blood was seen on the ground near her home. The riddle deepens, as her husband was reported missing in June, and his car was found torched with a body inside. The remains have not been identified.

Patricia Presba, who went missing from her Georgetown-area home last week, was apprehended Friday at a Utah motel and is being held in connection with the disappearance of her husband, according to Salt Lake City police.

A Utah Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division officer, who was looking for stolen vehicles in the parking lot of a Salt Lake City Motel 6, came across a vehicle with a California license plate.

When the officer ran the plate number, it registered a National Crime Information Center hit to a missing person.

The officer contacted authorities in California and was told the person was wanted in connection with a possible homicide case, Salt Lake City Police Lt. Brian Purvis said Saturday.

The officer apprehended Presba and a man when they emerged from their motel room and headed for the car about 9 a.m.

Salt Lake City police said no charges have been filed against Presba.

Earlier Saturday, Salt Lake City police had told reporters in Utah that the two were considered suspects in the evolving case of Ronald Presba’s disappearance. But officials later withheld the name of the man who was with Patricia Presba because he was not arrested.

“I want to know what happened to my dad,” said Patricia Presba’s daughter Misty Bonanno, who was also Ronald Presba’s stepdaughter. “I want to know the exact circumstances. I want to know if my mother was involved. I want to know everything.”

Patricia Presba was reported missing Thursday, a month after human remains were discovered in a Chevrolet Suburban belonging to her husband, Ronald. The burned-out vehicle was found at the bottom of a ravine along Highway 193 near Kelsey.

“I just miss him,” Bonanno said Saturday. “He was wonderful. He loved us all. He wasn’t even my real, biological father, but he loved my kids and my sister’s kids. I’m hurt mostly because he’s gone.

“He never judged me, and he always corrected me in a gentle way. … He was a good, good man.”

Salt Lake City media reports said the man taken into custody had gunshot wounds and that the woman had stab wounds to her arm.

Purvis said Patricia Presba was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and then released back to police custody.

On Thursday, a friend had gone to the Presba family’s home on Meadow Brook Road and found the front door open and covered in blood, said El Dorado Sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan Golmitz.

  3. I recently was incarcerated in Valley state Prison for women Where Patricia Presba is serving her sentence.

She always told me a diffrent story no two were alike she played the victim, but admitted that her and ramos were hot and heavy.

I never felt comfortable around her she is very sneeky and reminds me of a snake. We even worked in the same office at the prison and she was always turning the girls against eachother. She will be moved soon, as the prison is now being changed over to men. she will be moved to CCWF also located in chowchilla. Her info is Patricia Presba #WA3770. Maybe there are people who would like her to know how she altered their life by the deeds she has done.

Thanks for the opportunity to express somethings the public should know about people like Presba who have taken a loved one away from others.
