The sad but all too often expected conclusion came today in the disappearance of 10 year old Adre’anna Jackson. Police confirmed today that the remains found the other day were that of Adre’anna Jackson. God bless and rest in peace.
Police said skeletal remains found Tuesday in Lakewood are those of Adre’anna Jackson, the 10-year-old girl who disappeared last December.
At a news conference, Lakewood Police Chief Larry Saunders said the remains were positively identified Wednesday and the parents of the girl have been notified.
“The death of a child is a tragedy for the entire community,” Saunders said. “We are deeply committed to turning over every stone, initiating every effort to restore justice in this situation and bring closure to the family and community.”

Remains are those of missing 10-year-old Lakewood girl
Pierce County officials have identified the skeletal remains found recently in Lakewood as belonging to Adre’Anna Jackson, a 10-year-old girl who went missing in December.
Dental records confirmed the match, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said today. Neither the cause nor manner of the girl’s death has yet been determined.
Police are scouring the 3-acre vacant field in which the remains were found in the Woodbrook neighborhood of Lakewood, and may be searching for clues there for several more days, said Lakewood police Lt. Bret Farrar.
He said it was too early to assume that Jackson was murdered and placed in the field. Accidental death is also a possibility, he said.

Police in Tillicum, WA discovered the remains and human bones in Lakewood. There has been no confirmation; however, police are investigating whether the remains may be of missing 10 year old Adre-Anna Jackson.
Police are looking into the possibility that human bones discovered in Lakewood Tuesday may be connected to the disappearance of a 10-year-old girl late last year.
But they are cautioning that it’s too early to tell whether the remains belong to Adre’Anna Jackson, who was last seen in the Tillicum neighborhood of Lakewood Dec. 2.
According to Lakewood Police spokesman Bret Farrar, the bones were found at about 11:30 a.m. by children playing in a three-acre vacant field in the Woodbrook area of Lakewood.

A new system called the Child Rescue Alert (CRA), based on the Amber Alert in the United States, will begin in England and Wales. Its purpose is to make it easier and quicker for police to find missing children. The program is designed to contact the media at the earliest stage of a suspected child abduction.
Text messages will also be sent out to members of the public.
Senior officers say the public can act as the “eyes and ears of the police” to help finding missing children.
CRA’s will be sent out if the missing person is under 18 and if there is “a reasonable belief” they have been kidnapped, abducted or are in “imminent danger of serious harm or death”.
“The CRA will be a valuable resource to the police to enable them to carry out their investigations swiftly and effectively to better safeguard the lives of children.”

Quadrevion Henning, 12, and his friend Purvis Parker, 11 have been missing since March 19. They headed off to play ball at a park near their homes in north-central Milwaukee and have not been seen from since. According to police the case has now become a criminal investigation.
(CNN) — The search for two Milwaukee, Wisconsin, boys reported missing last week has become a criminal investigation, police said Sunday.
“Canvassing by the task force as well as leads and tips have led us to that conclusion,” police spokeswoman Anne Schwartz told reporters.
Schwartz said there was no evidence a crime had been committed, but investigators have determined “an increased possibility” that one took place. She said investigators have not ruled out “any scenarios or possibilities.”
The reward offers for their safe return have grown to $35,000. Also, a website has been set up with information and a poster of the boys that can be downloaded. The site is http: //www.henningparker.com/.

The TBI issued an Amber Alert early Thursday for the Winkler’s daughters, Breanna, 1, Mary Alice, 6, and Patricia, 8. The alert said the girls may be with their mother, Mary Winkler.
Matthew Winkler, a 31 year old Tennessee church pastor, was found shot to death in his parsonage. His family was missing and the above amber alert was issued. There was no sign of forced entry according to reports.
We’re just really puzzled,” Selmer Police Chief Neal Burks said Thursday. “We’re concerned about the safety of the children, also.”
Church members went searching for pastor Matthew Winkler late Wednesday when he didn’t show up for an evening service at Fourth Street Church of Christ, Burks said. He said they used a key to enter the parsonage and found him dead in a bedroom.
Winkler, 31, had been shot, and his family was gone, Burks said.
The chief declined to say if Winkler’s wife was considered a suspect. Investigators also weren’t sure if she had the children or if any outsiders were involved in shooting and disappearance, he said.

UPDATE: Missing Family of Slain Minister Found Safe
In late breaking news, the wife and family of the slain Tennessee pastor were found this evening in Alabama.
Thursday night, the woman and the girls were found in Orange Beach, in southern Alabama, when a police office spotted their van parked on the side of the road and pulled over to help.
All were in good physical condition, Johnson said, and no one else was with them.
Johnson said investigators had learned about 1 1/2 hours before the family members were found that they might be in southern Alabama or the Florida Panhandle.
Mary Winkler “hasn’t been arrested,” Johnson said. “We want to talk to her and find out what she knows” about the slaying of her husband.

Ashley Bushue, 12 year old Knoxville, TN girl has been missing for 4 days. Ashley Bushue left Whittle Springs Middle School Friday afternoon with Seth Lee Mitchell, 37.
According to a school spokesman, Mitchell told the Whittle Springs’ secretary he was Ashley’s uncle and needed to check her out of school for a dental appointment.
Mitchell was not on the girl’s emergency card and not allowed to take her out. But the school let her go anyway.
No one has heard from Ashley since she left school. Police are asking for the public’s help.
The two are believed to be traveling in a 1995 white Dodge Caravan with a Tennessee license plate SZU 446. (WATE 6)
Knoxville Police issue warrant in search for missing girl
A Knoxville man faces charges of specially aggravated kidnapping. The alleged victim, 12-year-old Ashley Bushue, missing since she left Whittle Springs Middle School, apparently minutes after her mother dropped her off for classes Friday morning.
Police aren’t sure what Ashley Bushue’s relationship to Seth Lee Mitchell, father figure or child-hood crush.
The charge of Specially Aggravated Kidnapping comes because of her age and allows for federal help if Mitchell’s taken her out of state.
He reportedly has family in Virginia. Ashley’s father lives in Illinois.
Though he faces felony charges, police have not put out an amber alert, saying they believe Ashley went willingly and that she isn’t in imminent danger. (WVLT)
