Today, July 24, 2006 marks the 6 month date that Jennifer Kesse has been missing. As with any heart broken family of a missing person; today is no different than any other. If you would ask the Kesse’s what today was, they would most likely say “Monday” and another day that they spend searching for answerers into their daughter’s disappearance.

Monday will mark the 6 months anniversary since Jennifer Kesse has gone missing from her Orlando residence. Her family and friends plan on holding a special event Monday in support of Jennifer Kesse and a fundraiser.
Her family, friends and supporters plan to mark the occasion with a “Stand Up for Jennifer” event at the corner of John Young Parkway and Conroy Road, not far from Jennifer’s condo and the apartment complex where her car was found a few days after her Jan. 24 disappearance. The event — from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. — is designed to keep attention focused on the case.
Another fundraiser is planned for this coming Wednesday, “Stand Up for Jennifer”.
“Stand Up for Jennifer” event/fund-raiser scheduled for the Improv in downtown Orlando on Wednesday, Aug. 9. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts officially at 7:30.
A $10 admission/donation is encouraged but not required to the Jennifer Kesse Trust Fund, which “will be used for Jennifer’s psychological treatment upon her recovery.” All the money from admission goes to the nonprofit. (Orlando Sentinel)

Searches continue for Jon Francis who has been missing since Saturday. An aerial search using infrared and sensor technology is underway for the missing hiker in the Grand Mogul peak area.
A helicopter and small plane sweeping the Grand Mogul peak using infrared and sensor technology.
Early Friday afternoon several aircraft did show up to circle Grand Mogul peak in hopes of spotting anything unusual from the air.
A military helicopter spent several hours near the mountain and also near Redfish Lake Lodge. (KTVB)
Search resumes for missing Stillwater man
The 24-year-old Francis told co-workers at a Bible camp near Ketchum that he planned to go for a hike up Grand Mogul in the Sawtooth Mountains on Saturday.
But Francis didn’t return when he said he would, and authorities started aerial and ground searches for him.
Police say Francis’ car was found in a parking area, where he boarded a shuttle to the spot where he began his hike. But no one has reported seeing him since.
Authorities said in a statement released Wednesday that they determined Francis reached the summit on Saturday, but human and dog search teams found no sign of him on two descents from the top of Grand Mogul (KSTP)
Ground Search for Missing Hiker Considered Too Dangerous
Veteran mountain rescue volunteer George Gunn of the Idaho Mountain Search & Rescue says there’s good reason for that: it’s just too dangerous.
“The top up here is where he was, and you can see there’s very little timber. It’s very steep sided,” said Gunn, pointing to a photo of the summit of Grand Mogul in the Sawtooth Mountains.
The terrain is so steep, Gunn says it is easy to fall.
Since rescuers couldn’t find Francis on the formal trail, Gunn says it’s likely the 24-year-old may have fallen or gone off the beaten path– factors that widen the search area significantly and make working conditions for rescuers several times more unpredictable and dangerous. (KBCI)

Jennifer Hagel-Smith lashed out this week as the misguided anger that the family of missing honeymooner, George Smith. George Smith’s family has many questions of Jennifer, namely what is she hiding by settling with Royal Caribbean so soon.
“The quick settlement is concerning,” said Bree Smith, in an exclusive interview with the Green-wich Citizen. “We feel comfortable in saying that in our opinion, she is hiding something.” Added Rivkind
Bree Smith, George Smith’s sister, found many of Jennifer Hagel-Smith’s actions and comments rather strange.
“Jennifer said several times in our house, before we cut off contact with her last October, that she did not want to be deposed in a civil or criminal suit,” Bree Smith said.
“I thought that was a strange statement to make. Why wouldn’t she want to testify, to help bring to justice the people who murdered my brother? It is suspicious, in my opinion.”
The circumstances in how George Smith disappeared is bizarre. We all now the many actions of those involved that are less than normal behavior that one would do aboard a cruise ship, let alone the actions that the cruise line took following the disappearance. What we find most disappointing and strange is Jeniffer Hagel-Smith’s 180 degree turn in dealing with the Royal Caribbean and her statements .
In Hagel-Smith’s press release, she also praised “the cruise line president and leaders who heard our voices and began this civilized, informative, and productive dialogue.”
This marked a sharp contrast to Hagel-Smith’s previous claims that she had been “thrown off” the Brilliance of the Seas after George Smith disappeared, and left to fend for herself in Turkey without financial resources or assistance.

Police have located the mini van of Tammy Gardner and two victims were found inside murdered. They had mysteriously disappeared from a bar where Gardner reportedly had words with an unidentified ex-boyfriend.
Police in Delaware had been searching for the minivan for days. They hoped it would lead them to a missing man and woman. Apparently, it has.
The vehicle, a 2000 Ford Windstar, was found on a remote path near a man-made hill at a park that is under construction.
That’s when police converged on the scene, but investigators don’t know how long the vehicle had been there or what happened to the man and woman inside.
An autopsy will confirm the identities, but police know the van belongs to 40-year-old Tammy Gardner, who has been missing since last Sunday, along with her companion 41-year-old Gabe Gabrielli.
Both mysteriously disappeared after being last seen at a bar where Gardner reportedly had words with an unidentified ex-boyfriend.
