With all the questionable statements and comments that have come from John Mark Karr since he confessed to the murder of of JonBenet Ramsey, it was not that much of a surprise when the DNA results came back negative. According to reports, the “DNA sample taken from John Mark Karr is not a match with the foreign DNA found on JonBenet Ramsey’s body when she was murdered in 1996.”
Denver – Two sources have confirmed that the DNA sample taken from John Mark Karr is not a match with the foreign DNA found on JonBenet Ramsey’s body when she was murdered in 1996.
Samples of Karr’s saliva and hair were taken in Boulder, CO after his arrival on Thursday. Those samples were tested over the weekend inside the Denver Police Department’s Crime lab.
JonBenet was covered in a blanket when her body was found. Foreign hair fibers were found on that blanket and they did not match any of the Ramsey family or approximately 100 people.
After all this, the DA in Boulder, CO is not going to file charges. What a mighty expensive plane ticket to get John Karr back to Colorado for nothing. Next time the Boulder DA may want to ask the family where a potential suspect may have been before they jump the gun. It is actually amazing that it appears all the DA had was a confession. A confession for and obsessed individual that gets off on murder cases of young girl.
Karr is scheduled to be in court Monday afternoon for an advisement hearing.
Charges related to the JonBenet case are not being filed in Colorado but California may file. Boulder, CO could file different charges for Karr however.

The longer and more information that comes out on the “confession” of John Karr in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, the more it looks like its a hoax. Many have speculated that the Boulder, CO DA best have more up their sleeve than a confession from what can best be described as a less than stable individual. Could the DA possibly have brought John Karr all the way from Thailand to CO and arrested him on only a confession?
Now the family of John Karr is stating that he was with them for Christmas 1996. John Karr’s father and half brother are both stating that he is not guilty and that Karr was most likely in either Atlanta or Alabama.
Asked if John Karr, who now sits in a Colorado jail awaiting charges in the Ramsey case, could have been involved in the girl’s death, the suspect’s half brother, Nate Karr. said, “Absolutely not. Emphatically, absolutely without a doubt impossible.”
About his son’s apparent television confession in Thailand, Karr’s father, Wexford Karr, added, “I don’t believe a word of it.”
Asked whether Karr was with his family on Christmas 1996, Nate Karr told ABC News, “Well, I can say almost without question that from the time that John had children he has never missed a Christmas with his family — and that’s any Christmas. So, whether it be in Atlanta with us or with Lara in Alabama, we are positive that from the time period that he had children that he’s never missed a Christmas with his children.”

John Karr was also provided an alibi by his ex-wife who stated he was not in Boulder, CO.
Karr’s family has said that he was not in Boulder, Colo., at the time of JonBenet’s killing. Lara Karr told ABC News affiliate KGO-TV in San Francisco that she was with her former husband in Alabama, where they lived at the time of JonBenet’s killing, and that she did not believe he was involved in the slaying.

John Mark Karr’s next stop will be Colorado. Tuesday, John Mark Karr agreed to go to Colorado to face “possible” charges in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey.
Boulder County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Carolyn French said Karr had not been formally charged, and described the counts in the warrant as possible charges.
John Mark Karr faces the following possible charges:
In addition to first-degree murder, the counts against Karr in a sealed probable-cause arrest warrant include felony murder, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping and sexual assault on a child.
Felony murder means prosecutors are either accusing Karr of killing JonBenet during the course of a sexual assault or kidnapping, or that he was present while someone else killed the girl.
Felony murder carries the same penalties as first-degree murder: either life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.

“I think people will remember Patsy as some one who was falsely accused in connection with the death of her daughter,” Lin Wood, the Ramsey’s attorney, said on CNN, “when she should be remembered for being an incredibly loving mother, a wonderful wife and a person who showed great courage in fighting a vicious disease.”
