4 People Arrested in the Disappearance of Christopher Barrios

UPDATE: Charges on the 3 suspects not including George Endenfield include obstruction of justice, making false statements, with “concealing the death of another person.” Fox News

New reports coming out of Glynn County Georgia are saying that 4 people have been arrested in the disappearance of Christopher Barrios. The primary suspect, George Endenfield, his father, his mother, and a 4th man that has not been identified. This is a tragic case and I hope that the local law enforcement can find the boy and get him home safely to his family.

Four people have now been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a young boy from Brunswick, but still no sign of Christopher Barrios.
Late Tuesday night, police in Glynn County received new information from two individuals claiming to know the location of Barrios’ body.

Authorities brought in a helicopter with infrared technology and cadaver dogs to search an area about a mile down the road from where Barrios was last seen, but nothing came of the search.

Police arrested the father of George Edenfield, the sex offender who has been in jail since Friday and a prime suspect in Barrios’ disappearance, and another man who has not been identified. The two are charged with obstruction of a police officer, giving false statements and concealing the death of another person.

Earlier Tuesday, authorities arrested George Edenfield’s mother, Peggy, on the same charges. George Edenfield remains in jail on a violation of probation charge. Edenfield lives across the street from the six year old boy, who hasn’t been seen since last Thursday night.

Tuesday evening volunteer searchers packed up for the night.

“I have nine grandsons of my own and if something happened to those kids I don’t know what I’d do,” says volunteer Bernice Singleton.  Via First Coast News

  1. These people are animals not humans! Anyone who could harm a innocent child needs to be locked up! But if they rape and murder this child there should be no questions asked, hang’em!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. They don’t deserve a trial, throw them in prison, and let the other inmates take care of them! Let the wardens/jailers turn their back.

  4. My heart goes out to the Barrios family. I am praying everyday for this family. I am really surprised of how our community came together just because of Christopher. Glynn County is a really big community and everyone gathered together. We are really sad of how this precious and innocent child’s life got taken from a sex offender.

  5. If this had happened in Latin America, these people could not be taken to the police station. They would be hurt very, very badly. We are a civil country, and require everyone have a fair trial, and we have nothing in place for convicted child molesters except for a slap on the wrist, and having to check in when on parole. Until these laws are changed IN EVERY STATE, this will continue to happen again, and again and again. Why can’t we just incinerate these bastards and be done with it? I don’t even want to imaging what Christopher’s last hours were like. He has the face of an angel and is now with them.

  6. WHY??? Why does this continue to happen. My God, something needs to be done!!!!!!!! Laws need to be changed… May the Barrios family have peace that Christopher is in heaven and is no longer in any pain.

  7. Apples don’t fall far from the tree. Generations of sickness here. Hopefully Georgia will do a better job at servicing justice than Florida in the Jessica Lunsford case.

I don’t beleive there is any re-habilitation for any of these sicko’s & as cruel & inhumane as it sounds, I would like to see them sentenced to a shoulder high burial. Thier heads could bob out of the dirt & the public could do unto them as the public sees fit. Some may even offer them bread & water. I would offer them piss & vinegar to drink & give them a few choice words to chew on.

Bless Christopher & his family. No family should be forced to face such atrocities. May peace be within them.
