Tip of Possible Sighting Leads Search for Missing Haleigh Cummings to Cape Cod, Massachusetts
A tip of a possible sighting of Haleigh Cummings has led investigators from Florida to the Bay State.
The search for missing 6 year old Haleigh Cummings has moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Investigators traveled to South Yarmouth, Massachusetts as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings. Timothy Croslin, the brother of Haleigh’s stepmother, and his wife were questioned after a possible sighting of the girl at an area Walmart.
According to reports, the police questioned the couple Saturday at the South Yarmouth state police barracks.
A Cape Cod couple has been questioned in the case of a missing Florida girl who disappeared from her father’s mobile home in February.
The Cape Cod Times reported Florida authorities questioned the couple Saturday at the South Yarmouth state police barracks about Haleigh Cummings. Authorities have not said why they were questioned. No other details were given.
Investigators interviewed Timothy Croslin and his wife as they searched for clues that might help them find Haleigh Cummings.
Croslin’s sister, Misty, 17, was the last person to see Haleigh. She told police she tucked the little girl into bed the night of Feb. 10 while her boyfriend, and Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, 25, was away at work.
Misty, who police say is not a suspect, has given authorities conflicting details of what happened that evening and flunked a lie-detector test.

“This is an ongoing investigation and the state police detectives assigned to my office are assisting the Florida authorities,” O’Keefe said last night.
“I’m not going to make any comments regarding an ongoing investigation.”
Haleigh Cummings has been missing since February 10, 2009.
