Investigators in the Taylor Behl disappearance today found a body in a heavily wooded area discovered the body buried on private property in Mathews County, about 75 miles east of Richmond. Although investigators refused to say whether they believe they had found Taylor Marie Behl, many have speculated from the information provided that it is.
MATHEWS, Va. (AP) – A task force investigating the disappearance of a college freshman unearthed a body from a wooded area Wednesday, but refused to say whether they believe they had found Taylor Marie Behl.
“During the past week, we have gone into a mode of searching locations that we knew Taylor to have visited based on statements, based on photographs, based on a host of other things,” said Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe. “That is what led us to this particular location.”

According to The Washington Post, police task force investigating the disappearance of Taylor Marie Behl found a decomposed body in a shallow grave yesterday.
A police task force investigating the disappearance of college student Taylor Marie Behl found a decomposed body in a shallow grave yesterday east of Richmond and were trying to identify the remains last night, police said.
The investigators were led to the grave, in coastal Mathews County about 80 miles east of Richmond, through “credible” information collected in interviews with Behl’s friends and acquaintances, a source close to the investigation said. Clothing was also found in the rural area, a place Behl was known to have visited, the source said.
This week, we’ve been going to various locations that we’ve known her to frequent,” said Richmond Police Chief Rodney D. Monroe. “Those locations were based on where people told us she had gone and photographs we’ve seen her in. Outstanding investigative work led us there.”
Monroe declined to elaborate but said a medical examiner and federal forensics investigators were at the scene in a field off a farm road in the largely rural area.
Credible information and photographs were used to locate areas that Taylor Behl frequented.
The grave was located behind a barn on an isolated piece of private property, police said. Photographs of the area that were captured by hovering news helicopters showed several acres of greenery, with several white buildings bordered by clusters of large trees.
The discovery came the same day that a multi-jurisdictional grand jury convened in Richmond Circuit Court to hear evidence in Behl’s case. The special jury is composed of about a dozen residents drawn from regular jury pools in Richmond and its surrounding areas, according to the Web site for Henrico County, adjacent to Richmond.

Police said the remains were discovered in a grave in a heavily wooded area on private property in the county, about 75 miles east of Richmond.
Police crime scene tape blocked access to a dirt path that led off a rural road to part of the crime scene, where investigators worked Wednesday evening underneath a green tent surrounded by orange cones, two vans and a truck.
“During the past week, we have gone into a mode of searching locations that we knew Taylor to have visited based on statements, based on photographs, based on a host of other things,” Monroe said. “That is what led us to this particular location.”
Police would not say if the body was female, and said it would take several days for identification. It was not clear how long the body had been there, Monroe said.
“We will not know who or what evidence those remains present until we have an opportunity for the medical examiner’s office to make that determination,” Monroe said.
Behl’s mother, Janet Pelasara, was contacted by police about the body as a courtesy, Monroe said.
A family friend who answered the phone at Pelasara’s home Wednesday night said Pelasara would not be making any statement until the body has been identified.

Please say a prayer for the family, this is a sad story of a young man in college gone wrong.
From the AP:
A body found Tuesday in the Red River was that of a missing Minnesota State University Moorhead student, the student’s mother confirmed.
Patrick Kycia, 19, of Stillwater, had been seen last in the early morning hours on Friday at a fraternity party.
There were no obvious signs of trauma, police Lt. Bob Larson said. The body was to be taken to Ramsey County for identification, but the clothing, physical description and items found in the man’s pockets led police to believe it was Kycia.
Rose Foley, Kycia’s mother, told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis she had been contacted by authorities who said her son ‘looked pretty good, considering.’ She said she was relieved that her son’s body had been found. ‘That was our goal.’

ADA, Okla. (AP) – A teenager who was abducted as she left school last week was found shot to death Saturday along with a man her mother had once dated. Authorities said it appeared to be a murder-suicide.
As previously posted and now confirmed the incident was in relation to the fact that the alleged kidnapper and killer, Jerry Don Savage had a previous relationship with Caitlin’s mom and had attempted to kidnap her.
Savage, who had dated the girl’s mother, Donna Wooten, reportedly called the girl’s grandmother Friday afternoon and threatened to harm Caitlin, Bratcher said.
He said Savage was recently arrested on charges of attempting to kidnap Donna Wooten. Wooten obtained a protective order against Savage on Aug. 30, court records show, but he was out of jail on bond when Caitlin disappeared.
The deaths appear to be murder-suicide, said Jessica Brown, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Savage had previously lived in the area and knew the owner of the land where the bodies were found, authorities said. The landowner, Saye Sliger, was arrested as a possible accessory to the crime, Brown said.

From KOTV 6, The bodies of missing teen Caitlin Elizabeth Wooten and her alleged abductor Jerry Don Savage were spotted by troopers who were searching for them in an Oklahoma Highway Patrol helicopter shortly before 10 am.
Officials in Ada say the bodies of Caitlin Elizabeth Wooten and Jerry Don Savage were spotted by troopers who were searching for them in an Oklahoma Highway Patrol helicopter shortly before 10 am.
Ada spokesman Mark Bratcher says the troopers guided a search team on the ground to the partially wooded area in Pontotoc County six miles southwest of Ada. Bratcher says each of the victims died from gunshot wounds, but it wasn’t known how long they had been dead.
As posted yesterday, an Amber Alert issues for 16 year old Caitlin Elizabeth Wooten who had been taken at gun point by Jerry Don Savage. Less than 24 hours later both are found dead from gun shot wounds.
A truly sad ending to an all to common situation in this country that could have been prevented. Reportedly, there was a restraining order against Jerry Don Savage, the ex-boy friend of Caitlin Elizabeth Wooten’s mother. He had allegedly kidnapped or had attempted to kidnap Caitlin’s mother.
Court records show Savage had a protective order filed against him on August 30th. We’re told he is the ex-boyfriend of Wooten’s mother.
This country needs to figure out a better way of how to protect children and those that actually obey the laws. Authorities need to figure out that “THE INNOCENT HAVE RIGHT TO!!!”. A piece of “protective order” paper is worth about as much as the paper it is written on to a person who does not care about the law. We need to start treating these individuals as the CRIMINALS they are and not worrying about their rights.
FORGIVE ME, BUT WHO WAS LOOKING OUT AFTER CAITLIN ELIZABETH WOOTEN’S RIGHTS?

According to NBS 4, A 13-year-old Ohio girl, Katelind Caudill, was found shot to death in her bedroom who may have been killed for trying to help an abused friend. Melvin Keeling is also a suspect in death of convenience store clerks. What a truly sad story. Not only should the suspect not have been on the streets but Katelind Caudill should have been better protected.
A 13-year-old Ohio girl found shot to death in her bedroom may have been killed for trying to help an abused friend.
Relatives say Katelind Caudill had alerted authorities that her friend was being molested.
Police are now looking for her friend’s stepfather, Melvin Keeling. Officials say he’s also a suspect in the fatal shootings of two Indiana convenience store clerks a few hours after the teen’s body was found.
Katie Caudill’s dad said Keeling had threatened her and that police should have protected the 13-year-old, who was helping them in a child rape investigation against the accused killer, Cincinnati television station WLWT reported.
“(Keeling said), ‘You guys took my family, so I’m going to take yours,’” Charles Caudill told the station.
“I’m mad. Warren County did absolutely nothing about it,” Katie’s father said. “They had him and let him go. They should have held him knowing he had threatened my daughter and her sister. They should have had a cop or something patrolling there, but they didn’t.”
Keeling, of Deerfield Township, Ohio, also was wanted for questioning in the shooting death about 3 1/2 hours earlier of Katelind Caudill, 13, at her grandmother’s house about 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati, authorities said.
According to the AP: Keeling was wanted on charges of rape and gross sexual imposition involving a child in an unrelated case, the Warren County sheriff’s office said.
A gunman shot and killed two women working at a northern Indiana convenience store Monday, and police were seeking a man who also was suspected of killing a teenage girl in Ohio.
Katelind Caudill is a hero for what she did and she paid with her life. God Bless you.
Katie’s father said he wasn’t surprised she would put her life on the line for a friend.
“She was nice and she would go out of her way to help anybody. She helped a friend out and ended up dead,” he said.
