FBI Releases New Details in Kidnapping of Marissa Graham …

An Amber Alert was initially issued for 10 year old Marissa Graham in Oklahoma. She was reportedly abducted by a white male approximately 35–40 years of age. Later the next day Marissa Graham was found safe in Clovis, NM getting away from her abductors vehicle at a gas station. The suspect remained at large.

The FBI has recently released some new information in the case of Marissa Graham’s abduction. The FBI is presently offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and or conviction of the person or persons who kidnapped Marissa.

Graham was abducted about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 while collecting donations for a basketball fundraiser in Texhoma and was driven to Goodwell, Okla., where the suspect stopped near a grain elevator, said FBI agent Michael Ward. “At this point, the suspect is believed to have engaged in a cell phone conversation with an unknown person … (and) inquired as to the media coverage and police response to the abduction,” Ward said. (Examiner-Enterprise)

There seems to be one important change from the initial accounts of the 10 year old’s escape from her abductor. It appears that the kidnapper opened the trunk latch and released Marissa.

When the suspect drove to an Allsup’s convenience store in Clovis, Ward said the man activated the automatic latch for the vehicle’s rear door and let the girl out of the vehicle. The girl then walked into the store and notified store employees, who called police.

Campbell’s luggage arrived at Indianapolis International Airport after he bought a ticket to fly back to Indiana from El Paso on Jan. 18, investigators said.

El Paso, Texas, police believe a missing Purdue student went back to Mexico where he is staying voluntarily.

Police spokesman Javier Sambrano said Eric Campbell, 33, checked into a hotel in Juarez, Mexico, after his flight from El Paso to Indianapolis left. Sambrano said witnesses at the hotel identified Campbell by a picture and said he seemed to be in good health. (Journal and Courier)

Taiza Thomsen, 24, represented Brazil at the 2003 Miss Universe pageant in Panama. She has been missing according to her family and the police are not ruling out human trafficking.

SAO PAULO, Brazil — Police said Saturday they weren’t discarding the possibility that human trafficking played a role in the disappearance of a former Miss Brazil who hasn’t contacted her family since September.

Taiza Thomsen, 24, represented Brazil at the 2003 Miss Universe pageant in Panama. The last time she spoke to her parents, she said she was in London.

“At this moment we can’t rule out anything, not even the possibility she was a victim of human trafficking,” police investigator Marcos David Salem told Brazilian TV.

The family thinks that Taiza was being threatened.

Thomsen’s family has said that in some of their conversations before she went missing, she left them with the feeling that she was being threatened. The family did not elaborate.

However, her friends think something else may have occurred.

Jerry D. White Arrested, Mother (Kimberly N. Walker) and Family of Four Found Safe

There is good new to report in the abduction of 31 year old Kimberly Walker and her four missing children: 9-year-old Jaylan, Justin, 8; Kyara, 6; and 16-month-old Kayla. All have been found safe and are well. They were found Tuesday night in a hotel. Jerry D. White, 30, was arrested.

ALL FOUND SAFE

ELKHART, Ind. – A mother and her four children were found safe Tuesday night at a motel just miles from where police said the father shot a man and abducted them three days earlier, authorities said. He was arrested as he tried to escape through an air duct.

Jerry D. White, 30, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and several counts of confinement, police said.

Investigators were able to trace the family to the Sleepy Hollow motel, about 6 miles from Walker’s home, in part because Walker had made three calls to relatives from a nearby pay phone saying they were safe, said Detective Sgt. Bill Wargo.

Officers knocked on the door of the motel room about 8 p.m. Tuesday and heard rumbling inside, after which Walker opened the door. (Yahoo News)

A truly tremendous job by all law enforcement to bring this to a safe ending.
