Charles Arlin Henderson Missing Since 1991, Could he have Been Kidnapped by Michael Devlin?
Charles Arlin Henderson was 11 when he disappeared in 1991. Charles Arlin Henderson went missing from his home in Moscow Mills, MO while riding his bike. Could the two abductions be connected? Although the police have yet to find any link with Devlin and the missing Arlin Henderson, we do know that pedophiles commit many acts against children before they are ever caught. When the police went into the apartment of Michael Devlin in connection with missing William “Ben”Ownby, they never thought they would find Shawn Hornbeck either.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday that Devlin is now the “most viable lead” in the investigation into the 1991 disappearance of Charles Arlin Henderson of Moscow Mills. Both Shawn and Charles vanished at age 11 while riding their bikes on a rural road about an hour’s drive from St. Louis. Both boys were slight, weighing about 100 pounds, and had close-cropped hair. “If you were to take a photo of Arlin Henderson and you place it next to Shawn’s picture, there is a striking resemblance,” sheriff’s Lt. Mo. suspect eyed in unsolved kidnapping Michael Devlin is the “most viable lead” in the case of Charles Arlin Henderson, who was 11 when he disappeared in 1991 and has never been found, Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies said. Devlin was arrested last week after police found two kidnapped boys in his apartment in suburban Kirkwood: 13-year-old boy Ben Ownby, who was taken Jan. 8, and 15-year-old Shawn Hornbeck, who vanished 4 1/2 years ago. The long-missing boy, known as Arlin, was, like Ben and Shawn, about 100 pounds and from a rural town about an hour from St. Louis. Both Shawn and Arlin vanished at age 11 while riding their bikes. UPDATE: Deborah Henderson-Griffith, Mother Of Child Missing Since 1991 Still Looking For Answers
ST. LOUIS, MO — The mother of another missing child is hoping that the rescue of Ben Ownby and Shawn Hornbeck will lead to some answers for her family. Her son, Arlin Henderson, vanished in 1991 under very similar circumstances.
Deborah Henderson-Griffith says there have been few leads that point to where her son might be or what happened to him. She is now praying the ongoing investigation into Michael Devlin’s past will at least begin to provide some answers. (First Coast News)
when i first saw that arlin had diappeared, i was so scared. i was only 5. now, there’s hope he is alive! wonderful news. i’m from moscow mills, mo…and it just elates me!

Oh I hope you are right – I feel so bad for these parents of children never found. I live in St. Louis and I can’t tell you how happy everyone has been when they found these two boys alive. Hopefully their lives are not ruined and will soon be back to normal

This is a miracle about Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby and I’m really hoping they find Arlin.Like I heard on T.V. it’s like winning the World Series,the Super Bowl,and the Stanley Cup all in one night.

I went to school with Arlin I saw him every day in the halls at school.I rember the fear that it put in the town. We alway had that feeling of being totaly safe.After that day that was taken from us. After all these years I pray that we find out what really happened. And that Arlins family and friends know either way.

It is time that we as a society understand that there are monsters out there, not only in the US but everywhere else. But in the US life used to be happier and apparently safer. But the alarming rate of child kidnappings, rapes and murders in the US particualry from the 1970`s on is alarming and a national tragedy, it is telling us something very clearly:
That we parents must not ever leave our children alone anywhere at any time, never. We must not allow them to ride their bikes alone or with other kids alone, or let them strall alone or go to parties on their own until they are 18 and older. The monsters are out there waiting and looking for their opportunity just like the predators in the forest.
Before the age of 18 or 19, they are much too naive, innocents and fragile, they are easy prey for these monsters. Much worse a child that is 11 or 12 like the boys who have been abducted and some of them raped and killed.
I insist on my point, we as a society must be kinley aware and never let our children alone. There are MONSTERS out there, and many of them, living sometimes right next to you, without you ever noticing anathing. The only thing you can do is watch over your children and protect them ALWAYS.
Sadly as it is, logic tells me that one of these monsters took Arlin while he was alone, unprotected and easy prey for his murderer, and like others who have ran the same sad luck, we will most likely never see or hear from him again.
May God (if there is God above watching) bring justice some day and closure to these poor parents and punish these monsters (who dwell in our cities, live in our neighborhoods and walk amongst us)thousandfold for what they have donde.
