Steven Avery: Unjust jail term didn’t make a monster

If you are looking for a Steven Avery to somehow be a victim in all of this in that he spent years in jail on an unjust prison term; you may want to think again. Steven Avery was far from a choir boy.

Many of us can’t quite get over the apparent irony of Avery, once best-known as an innocent man wrongly convicted of a 1985 rape by overzealous law enforcement, turning around and becoming, it’s accused, a monster far worse than anything anyone conjured up when he was long ago railroaded.
(Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

Steven Avery had a troubled past for quite some time.

  1. I could not agree more that the 12 or so years Steven Avery spent in jail for a crime he did not commit, did not create the monster he became (or more likely , already was ) However, I will go even further and state that I believe being in jail those 12 years probably spared lives of innocent people. It is a shame that Avery ever got out of prison and was able to bring harm to Teresa Haubach and her loved ones.
