Arley Earhart, 16, Missing Since January 5, 2007 in Derry Township, PA (Update: Called Parents)
16 year old Arley Earhart, a Derry Area High School sophomore has been missing since January 5, 2007. Earhart’s boyfriend dropped her off at the BP Pit Quick Stop, in Derry Township on Route 982 across from the high school. She has not been seen or heard from since. Her cell phone appears to be shut off and has not been used since Arley Earhart disappeared.
“She doesn’t appear on the store’s surveillance tapes, but we’ve had corroborating statements from witnesses, in addition to her boyfriend, who saw her waiting outside the store where she was last seen,” Wigand said. (Pittsburgh Live)
Description:
- 5 feet, 6 inches tall
- weighs 120 pounds
- blonde hair
- green eyes
- last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. She could be wearing glasses.
Anyone with information should contact Latrobe police at 724-537-5526 or dial 911.
It appears that this may have been a planned runaway; however, some information, call or activity on her cell phone would have been expected by now. Could a plan to have runaway turned into disaster?
UPDATE I: Missing Derry Teen Phones Mother
The police and her mother are still worried that someone may be holding Arley Earhart against her will and keeping her away.
Arley Earhart, the teenager who has been missing since Jan. 5, apparently left a message on her mother’s answering machine saying she is OK.
But her mother is skeptical, and so are police.
Police are afraid that whomever is keeping Earhart is encouraging her to stay away from her parents. (The Pittsburgh Channel)
