Authorities Search Portsmouth, NH Harbor for Missing Person
Portsmouth, NH police are asking the publics help as they investigate a story that a man either fell or jumped into Portsmouth Harbor early Tuesday. I can’t even begin to imagine going into the water knowing how cold the water temperature is this time of year. Hypothermia sets in a matter of minutes.
The Coast Guard is searching for a man who reportedly fell into Portsmouth Harbor early today.
The Coast Guard says a witness reported seeing a man fall from a railroad bridge near the Sarah Long Bridge around two o’clock this morning.
A helicopter is helping crews in boats and on shore search for the man. (WCAX)

The Coast Guard searched by boat, on land and from a helicopter before suspending the search late Tuesday morning. Authorities said they were waiting to see if someone filed a missing person’s report. (Boston Globe)
