Trenton Duckett Missing: MySpace Postings on Josh Duckett account …”I hate you because you ruined my life and took my son.” (Update: Melinda wrote threats)
Two year old Trenton Duckett is missing, Melinda Duckett is dead due to an apparent suicide, possessions of Trenton were found in the garbage and still these troubling comments left of Josh Duckett’s MySpace account go unanswered.
What a tragic situation of a bitter divorce between two adults and the child caught in the proverbial middle.
The message was posted on Joshua Duckett’s MySpace.com homepage on July 3, 2006, at 8:15 p.m. The language is course and the message is filled with obscenities.
VIDEO (Interview with Josh and Melinda Duckett regarding MySpace comments)
“I hate you because you ruined my life and took my son.”
‘”I am going to hunt you and your damn son down one day and kill both of you.”
“I don’t even think Trenton is my son anyway and your (sic) going to pay for what you’ve done to my life.”
“When I get my hands on your f—– (racial slur) a– you’ll regret what you’ve done … and I’ll bury your son with you.”
When asked by police about these comments, Josh Duckett claimed it was his estranged wife who was behind it. Josh Duckett claims “that his wife somehow accessed his pass word and changed his information and also typed and sent the letter to herself”.
But according to a criminal complaint filed with the Bushnell Police Department on July 11, Joshua Duckett told investigators his “estranged wife was the person behind the incident, though (the detective) was presented no evidence to that effect.”

UPDATE: Melinda Duckett Wrote MySpace Posting, Police Say
WOW, according the the police … Melinda Duckett hacked into Josh Duckett’s MySpace account and posted the death threats.
Also, Leesburg police confirmed on Thursday that a MySpace.com posting that included death threats and racial remarks directed at Melinda Duckett was written by Melinda Duckett. The posting appeared on Josh Duckett’s MySpace page, but he said he didn’t write it.
Computer experts now believe that Melinda Duckett hacked into his account and posted the message to set him up.
“I said that since Day 1. I knew for a fact,” Josh Duckett said on Thursday. “She was the only one that had the passwords to my e-mail account and everything. So, I knew from the start and I said that. I mean, they tried to set me up, and they failed.”
Also, the authorities have released an inventory list of the items taken from the Melinda Duckett residence.
Among the 15 things that investigators seized was a swab of something taken from an unknown stain on the hall wall in her apartment.
Also, police took a blue towel with unknown stains and a top sheet with “blood-like stains,” according to the inventory sheet.

It is my belief that not only did she set her estranged husband up with the death threats but it was also her intent that he should take the blame for whatever has happened to the child. I fear he is no longer living.
When and if this poor baby is found, I will not be surprised if there is not some planted evidence also implicating the father.
I can’t really explain why I think this is so, either, but I do. When she realized that the husband/father was not being blamed as planned, it was more than she could bear.
This is so sad. This child did nothing to deserve any of this. May his little soul find the peace and love he never had in this world.

Gotta agree with #3.
Seems she thought she could outsmart everyone. Family, friends, police….thought she was smarter than all of them.
Once she realized her lies were unraveling, and the shock of national attention, it WAS more than she was willing to go through. (I doubt she ever thought she would be national news.) Certainly dopey Scott Peterson and JVS & gang didn’t either. Other sociopaths who figured they were smarter than the world.

This seems like a really calculated ordeal.
Maggie I’m with you, I’d like to think Trenton is some where safe, but my gut is saying other wise.

This woman was apiece of work! Anyone in their right mind does not do crazy things like this. I guess her family will try and say Joshua drove her mad and want him tried for murder.. well if she had nothing to hide and didn’t do anything wrong she would stil be alive.. I think she killed herself because she couldn’t live with what she had done. No man is worth killing your baby over she must have been c r a z y!!!!!! God Bless little Trenton!

Unfortunately, I also believe Trenton is not alive. I don’t think Melinda being as evil as she sounds would
have wanted to leave her x-husband with his son being
alive. She killed him and then knew she need to also
kill herself. That is my theory.

It is becoming very clear that Melinda was deeply disturbed. If she does have him stashed somewhere, is it possible her family is hiding him? They are NEVER on TV begging for his return. There is alot of “bad blood” between the families. Just a “what if” to chew on…. I hope he is alive somewhere and is returned to his daddy. But Melinda was sadly deeply disturbed, and could have done something to this child. I hope he his found soon…

This is very sad. My gut tells me that Melinda did something stupid that caused her son’s accidental death. She couldn’t live with it, and couldn’t figure out how to explain it, so she killed herself. As a mother, I don’t think she would kill herself if her child is still alive and possibly in danger. What a shame.

I agree this is all very tragic and as we have freedom of speech, the public responds; however, no one will know what Melinda was thinking or what she has done because she took her own life. Be it that she felt guilty over what she may have done or over her son missing. I think we should all keep our slanderous remarks to ourselves and pray for the safe return of Trenton and hope he comes back alive.

It’s obvious Melinda Duckett did it and why – she wanted to get her ex-husband back. She kept threatening to hurt her son in a sick, desperate attempt to make her ex-husband stay with her. Then when that doesn’t work, she thinks she’ll get rid of the son, which will reunite her and her ex-husband in trying to “find” him, and that their grief will unite them again. She was SICK.

My comment is that Josh duckett acts the same as the mother, theres no tears shed on the television, no sadness.
If it were my child, i would be crying and begging for their safe return. The news said she had Trenton at her grandparents house Saturday @ 4:00 pm, I feel whatever she did to the child was done from the time she left her grandparents until Sunday morning when the police did the timeline of her where abouts. So if she sold him then someone had from the time she left the granparents to Sunday night and thats along time before she reported him missing. To solve this case you would have to get inside the mind of melinda, she had to put him somewhere that no one could get to him, she didn’t want the dad to have him.
We hear that she throwed his toys, food and pictures away we didn’t hear about his clothing. They need to get a physic that the police use and give it a chance, in order to solve this case. I pray for Trenton, but to look at the dad gives a puzzling effect. Also if he woulded just tried to reson with his ex wife he might have gotten clues. Everyone has trashed her but she was sick and had problems. Now no one can hurt her anymore.

Unfortunately I agree with everyone who thinks this beautiful little boy is no longer alive & quite sure his mother was responsible for whatever happened. From all I’ve heard about the her, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if/when evidence of the child is found that there will be something planted to implicate the father. This was a very disturbed young woman! It’s absolutely amazing to me that there are people who walk among us on a daily basis who are this messed up, and worse, but somehow they manage to keep it all hidden away & give the appearance of a normal, functional human being, when in reality they are sick & evil monsters.
