Police in Chandler, AZ issued an Amber Alert for Danyelle May Hawkins, 17, who was last seen on Thursday July 6, 2005. She was abducted at gunpoint by an ex-boyfriend, Steven Anthony Herman, as her 9 year old brother witnessed the events. Steven Herman also made threats to the brother in the process of the abduction. Vehicle description is as follows: silver Kia Spectra sedan, later model.
Steven Herman told the brother not to call police or he would kill Danyelle and ship her body to the family.

The event occurred at 500 W. Cheyenne Dr, chandler AZ on Thursday, July 6th at 9:00AM. Ex-boyfriend,who has made threats in the past, abducted Danyelle Hawkins at gunpoint in front of her brother. Steven Herman told the brother not to call police or he would kill Danyelle and ship her body to the family. Herman was with a second subject

Amber Alert issued for teen allegedly taken by 2 men
Several tips of sightings have been called in since the alert was issued about 1:30 p.m., but none have panned out, police said.
Police believe Danyelle Hawkins, 17, was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Steven Anthony Herman, and his friend, a man police and relatives only know as John, who also goes by the nickname “Ernie,” police said.
