BREAKING NEWS: Body Found is That of Missing Woman
A source confirms to KDBC that the body of a woman found last night in the Rio Grande is that of Celia Rico.
A source tells KDBC that Francisco Gonzalez has been charged with murder. That same source says Gonzalez allegedly confessed to El Paso Police Department officers, who were handling Rico’s missing person’s case, that he shot Rico with a .22-caliber fire arm and hid her body. He allegedly lead police near Rainbow Lake in Anthony, Texas. Later, the sheriff’s office took over the investigation.
KDBC has also learned that Rico and Franciso are neighbors. The El Paso Police Department missing person’s report lists Rico’s address at 1100 of Arizona. The El Paso County Jail log listed Gonzalez’s address next to Rico’s. Neighbors confirm that Rico and Gonzalez were neighbors.
