A tip that investigators received Sunday night in the disappearance of 24 year old Jennifer Kesse lead to the search of an apartment in Orange County.
Sunday, investigators received a tip from a woman who said Kesse was being held in an apartment unit located at 1414 40th Street in Orange County.
“We had information that she was seen there and that she was alive and she was being held against her will,” Orange police Sgt. Richard Ring said. “Detectives working the case interviewed that person and that person apparently gave them enough information to make them concerned.”

The search turned up negative.
SWAT Team Conducts Raids In Search for Jennifer Kesse
Despite two SWAT team raids that turned up nothing, Orlando police and the parents of Jennifer Kesse said the search for the 24-year-old is moving forward. The SWAT team moved in Sunday night on two houses on 40th Street, near Rio Grande Avenue.
But word that Kesse was being held in a boarding house a few miles from her condo turned out to be false. Police said it was a solid lead that brought them to the boarding house along Orange Blossom Trail.
There is a $115,000 reward.
The Kesses said the publicity from Sunday’s raid also sent more leads pouring into Crimeline (800-423-TIPS).

A convicted felon, who had been staying with the family, had recently been released from the Ozaukee County Jail, disappeared along with three young Oostburg girls. The man had a long criminal record. The disappearance of the three young girls, ages 6, 8 and 13 was the subject of an Amber Alert. The man has been arrested and the girls are safe.
Jail staff said the man was booked into the facility at about 10 a.m., just hours after the girls were found in Belgium and Milwaukee.
Sheboygan County sheriff’s authorities say the girls’ mother reported her daughters missing early Monday after she woke up and found they had not returned with the man.
The girls are ages 6, 8 and 13. The girls were found at about 6 a.m.
Ozaukee County authorities contacted people at a Belgium home and determined the 6- and 13-year-old girls were there.

The long awaited Medical Examiners report has been released. The ME has determined that Melinda Superville’s death was a suicide due to toxic effects of acetaminophen, hydrocodone and diazepam.
HOUSTON — A Houston chiropractor found dead in northwest Houston took her own life, according to an autopsy report released by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office this week.
KPRC Local 2 reported on Thursday that the medical examiners determined Dr. Melinda Superville’s cause of death was suicide due to toxic effects of acetaminophen, hydrocodone and diazepam.
Investigators said the death was suspicious because a gun was found near her body, however, the gun was never fired. To go along with no note. Also the fact that a gun and pills remained out in the open where the homeless had been known to frequent for one week and a crime scene was not disturbed.
One wonders whether this is one of those cases that there is just not enough evidence to point at anything but a suicide. Now it leaves us to speculate why would a woman take her life?
