Sue Ann Ray’s Body Found, Husband Jailed
The sad ending has come to the search for missing SueAnn Ray as her body turned up in northern Cherokee County. Quinton Ray, the estranged husband, of Sue Ann Ray has been charged with her murder. Once again who is being charged with the murder, but the last person to have seen the victim alive.
Cherokee police told 11Alive’s Kevin Rowson they believe Quinton Ray killed his wife, Sue Ann, in Pickens County. Authorities have not confirmed how they know that, but are likely to release more details regarding their investigation at a news conference set for 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Quinton had long been a person of interest in Sue Ann’s disappearance in August 2005.
Ray’s husband admits he may be the last person to have seen Sue Ann alive, but he maintains he has done nothing wrong.
Body Of Missing Woman Found
GBI officials say they found Ray’s body in a shallow grave in northern Cherokee County.
An autopsy is being done on the body to determine the cause of death. A news conference is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
