Luis Pagan’s Body Found in Mexico
As previously reported Luis Pagan was swimming in a strong current while on vacation in Mexico and disappeared. He and a friend were vacationing while on a school break in Puerto Angel, on the Pacific coast.
Mexican authorities have found the body of the Brown University student who disappeared while swimming last Thursday.
Luis Pagan’s mother said the Mexican embassy contacted her on Monday to confirm what his family and friends had feared – that a strong current overtook him and swept him out to sea.
“Its a loss for all of us,” said one of Luis’ friends Makini Chism-Straker. “He’s a part of the Providence community family.”
Luis’ mother told NBC 10 that her son’s body will be returned to Rhode Island for burial.
