A Des Moines man an unidentified person took off in his single-engine D-35 Beechcraft plane from Panama yesterday morning along with 22 other planes from the “Fly Farmers” club. Officials say the group was headed to Nicaragua.
She says authorities started looking for the craft after officials at the Irazu volcano national park and nearby residents reported hearing a loud explosion in the area.
