Missing British Columbia students, (Brendan Midgley & Joseph Stryjak) found dead in ravine
Brendan Midgley, 20, and Joseph Stryjak, 23, went missing early Friday morning. The story has met with a tragic end as both boys were found dead in a ravine on Burnaby Mountain.
Searchers have found the bodies of two young men who disappeared on their way home from a pub at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C.
Brendan Midgley, 20, and Joseph Stryjak, 23, went missing early Friday morning after a night with friends at the Simon Fraser pub.
They were supposed to walk down a path on Burnaby Mountain and meet near its base at a friend’s house but never arrived.
A Burnaby police spokesperson said officers didn’t yet know what led the men off the path and into the ravine.

Missing Burnaby hikers found dead
Officials say they do not know how Brendan Midgley, 20, and Joseph Stryjak, 23, of Surrey left the path going down Burnaby Mountain and wound up in a 61-metre ravine on the mountain’s north side, police said.
“We don’t suspect foul play at this time,” Burnaby RCMP Const. Kalinda Link said.
“It’s definitely a tragic ending to the day,” Const. Link said. “The family is devastated by this outcome.”
The coroner will be conducting an investigation into the exact cause of death, police said.
