Dorothy Murphy-Bracey was found after she allegedly was kidnapped by her husband.
Dorothy Murphy-Bracey was found near U.S. 49 and County Line Road after missing for a week. Jackson police spokesman Brendon Bell said the vehicle had run out of gas and John Bracey fled.
Police were still looking for John Bracey,41, on Thursday evening, Bell said. John Bracey would be questioned about what happened, but if Murphy-Bracey does not sign an affidavit accusing her husband of kidnapping, police cannot charge him, Bell said.
Murphy-Bracey said in a telephone interview Thursday evening that her husband of 19 years needs professional help.
She said while her husband was incarcerated for burglarizing a business she began dating a man who lives in Rankin County.
