Forced entry into Garibay house being investigated
Initially, there were no signs of forced entry detected in the house, but deputies learned that one of the home’s rear window was slightly ajar and a window screen was on the ground, Durfor said.
“The family did not believe that window was in that condition prior to that morning (she disappeared),” he said.
Deputies are trying to determine what relevance the window’s condition has in the woman’s disappearance, Durfor said.
Deputies say that Chairo’s parents arrived home later to find the family vehicle missing, only to learn that the vehicle had been discovered only a half an hour earlier, submerged in the Bear River.
