Nathalie Garcia Found After Eight Years
After 8 years on the National Registry for Missing and Exploited Children, Nathalie Garcia was found on Tuesday. The 12 year old girl was found at Malvern Junior High School. Jessica Coman, one of Nathalie’s classmates saw her photograph on a pamphlet from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Unbelievable. What great news.
After 8 years on the National Registry for Missing and Exploited Children, on Tuesday a 12 year old girl was found at Malvern Junior High School.
Malvern Police say Nathalie Garcia was taken from San Antonio, Texas by her biological mother in 1997, when she was just 5 years old. Police say the mother did not have custody of her, because of a previous incarceration, and later kidnapped her during a visitation.
The 8 year old case was cracked on Tuesday, when Garcia’s classmate, Jessica Coman noticed her photograph on a pamphlet from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
“I`m like proud of myself, but I think what if something bad happens to her. What if she`s not happy? It kind of makes me feel guilty,” said classmate Jessica Coman.
“I think this defines her by who she is and who she`ll become, by something she did at 12 years old — I`m amazed,” said Coman’s mother Angie.
An Arkansas judge rules that a San Antonio girl is going to continue living with her biological mother in that state, and make regular trips to San Antonio to see the woman that raised here until she was 4-years old.

These are always tough situations. The child was taken from her mother for good reason when she was only four. Maybe her mother has gotten it together and deserves to raise her daughter. Sometimes a mother’s love can lead a woman to do incredible things. I’ll bet the little girl doesn’t remember much from being taken from her foster home or adopted parents. It is only now that she is feeling like a victim. I hope this turns out well for all involved.

I am sure Nathalie does remember her life with Vivian. She traveled and she was surrounded by people who loved her. Vivian did/can provide her a good life. Not only financially (professional pool player…check out ESPN on a weekend) but emtionally as well.
Maybe the mother has made some changes in her life but she has still broken the law. What she did is kidnapping & she continues to operate under different names. Her name in San Antonio was Theresa, now it is Maria & the police have found 11 other names she used in the past.
To change your life for the better is a good thing but how does anyone know that she truely has? She neglected this child when she was a baby. Maybe Nathalie is afraid to say she wants to go back to San Antonio.
She broke the law & needs to be punished.
