Its been over three weeks since Tara Grinstead has been missing. Monday night friends and family spent bittersweet day as it was Tara Grinstead’s 31st birthday.

Birthday balloons and banners decorate Tara’s small home, but it’s not a celebration. Grinstead is still missing.
Along with family and friends, a town paid tribute to one of their own. Tara Grinstead missing for 23 days.
With candles in hand, Anita and nearly 200 other people in Ocilla honor her sister’s birthday. “I have faith she’s going to come back to us and she’s going to unwrap the rest of her presents when she gets back,” says Gattis.
Prayer bags line the front of Tara’s house. They light a path for Tara’s way back home. “I wish she could be here to all we’ve done for her,” says former student Kenyatta McDonald.
As a crowd listens to a CD of Tara singing, others decorate her doorstep with gifts and roses.”This summer my house burned down. We lost everything. Ms. Tara was right there all the way. She got me everything I needed,” says McDonald.
The community had one common birthday present for Tara Grinstead. Those of us at Scared Monkeys send you a birthday wish as well. God bless.
“We’re never going to stop looking for you. And you will be home and we will find you,” says neighbor, Susan Oakley.

Police are investigating the case of a body found inside a burning vehicle in LaPorte County. Investigators say they’re investigating this case as a homicide. Police in Ohio think it’s the body of a Columbus man, 38-year-old Emanuel Drummond, who has been missing for three weeks.

Drummond was last seen on October 23 when he stopped by his mother’s house. He left there, but never made it home.
Police in Columbus, Ohio have confirmed the VIN number on the burning SUV matches that of the truck that Drummond was driving.
Police have suggested that the individual that was found inside the vehicle that they did not die due to the fire.
Beckman does say it’s a homicide and that the person found inside the burning vehicle did not die of the fire.
“It contains some very unique factors that are being explored basically feverishly right now, as we speak,” says Beckman.
Friends and family of Drummond gathered in Columbus a week ago Sunday for a prayer vigil.

It has been three months since Nita Mayo has been missing. The case has finally been turned over to the FBI to investigate. The Nita Mayo investigation has been re-classified as a case of a “missing person with suspicious circumstances.”
Officials say the August disappearance of Nita Mayo has been re-classified as a case of a “missing person with suspicious circumstances.”
They aren’t releasing details about the decision to change the classification.
Mayo told a friend the morning she was last seen that she planned to drive through Sonora Pass for a daylong shopping trip.
Mayo’s car was discovered with her purse, cell-phone and keys inside around Donnell Vista on Highway 108 shortly after she disappeared.

Karen Maureen Dial is being held as an accessory in the death of Caitlin Wooten. Karen Maureen Dial is said to be the girlfriend of Faye Francis Sliger who’s charged with first-degree murder in Wooten’s kidnapping and death.
An Ada woman is now in custody in the September kidnapping and shooting death of a 16-year-old Ada High School cheerleader.
Karen Maureen Dial is being held as an accessory in the death of Caitlin Wooten.
Dial is described as the girlfriend of Faye Francis Sliger who’s charged with first-degree murder in Wooten’s kidnapping and death. Sliger is accused of loaning his pickup truck to Jerry Don Savage, knowing that Savage intended to abduct the girl.
Investigators say Dial knew Savage had taken Sliger’s truck, but told police the truck was at her home all day the day of the kidnapping.
