Around 3:00 pm, 12 hours after CART was activated, an anonymous Crimestoppers call gave the team the tip they needed.
“Anytime we have a substantial case like this, in an area like this, we’re always willing to offer a reward,” said Emerson.
While Emerson is pleased with Thursday’s end result, he sees room for improvement, specifically the way the team canvasses neighborhoods.
“We’re far from perfect. We learn each time how we can do this better,” said Emerson.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) – Lee County officials say the two parents who reportedly abducted their week-old baby from his maternal grandmother may have been intoxicated.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Ileana LiMarzi says the baby was taken from the grandmother who had custody of baby Jessie.
The spokeswoman says the father, Jessie Threatts, is in custody and being questioned by investigators. Sheriff’s officials say the father was found in east Ft. Myers around 6:45 a-m eastern time. Officials also say he was arrested without incident, but the mother, Sabrina Cobbs, and baby are still missing.
There is an Amber Alert issued for the week-old baby. Officials say the parents both have extensive criminal histories so their son was taken from their custody.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Web site, Jessie Threatts has been arrested at least six times including a weapons charge last month. There is no information yet on the mother’s criminal history
