James George, 39, Missing Since December 23, 2007 from Weedsport, NY
39 year old James George has been missing since December 23, 2007 when he was seen leaving his home. He has had no contact with his family since. 
George left his residence on foot at approximately 2:30pm on, Sunday, December 23rd and was last seen wearing a black fleece jacket, blue jeans or blue sweatpants and hiking boots. George is known to walk long distances and enjoyed walking on trails in the woods. (WSYR)

Search for Weedsport man continues
“We are searching five areas between the Village of Weedsport and the Village of Port Byron, that James is known to frequent,” said Weeks.
The Sheriff’s Office also asked searchers to keep their eyes out for two items that George uses frequently: deans cigarettes and an over-the-counter pain reliever/sleep aid.

According to authorities, family members said George left his residence on foot in a despondent state of mind at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 23. He was wearing a black fleece jacket, blue jeans or sweat pants and hiking boots at the time, according to the sheriff’s office.
He has also been known to suffer from depression, said Sheriff David Gould.
“You never know where you might find him with a case like this,” Gould said. “Hopefully, he is safe and well somewhere, and he doesn’t even know we are searching for him.”
