It sounds like the newspapers didn't have that information, couldn't find it in time for the deadline, and went with what they had.

About 30% of elderly don't have living children. About 15% have no known relatives. It's not amazing or astounding in the least that she might not have had any "loved ones" checking on her. What is astounding is that somehow a house was foreclosed on, auctioned off, and transferred without anyone doing any safety or security checks on it. Were I the neighbours I would not be impressed.

It seems to me, newspaper reporters are getting very lazy. How can you just print the police facts and not want to know, Does this woman have living children? Who else has been in the home in the past 4 years! And the obvious, Why did not anyone look for her at home? Investigate! Sheez.

There are so many holes in this story--what about all of the people before the cleaning crew who must have had access to Florence's house. Family members, the realtor, the buyer. . .

Wellll, we all know what the response would have been if this same situation occurred in Aruba, don't we?

It would appear that NYPD dropped to ball like many claim thier carribbean breathern did.

__________

SM: I guess the only difference is maybe the NY police may have a couple more crimes on their plate than Aruba.

Also, this hardly is a coverup.
