Cpl. Jessiah Jameson’s Body Recovered from the Cumberland River

Today, the sad news was learned that a body was recovered from the Cumberland River in Clarksville, TN may be that of missing Cpl. Jessiah Jameson. Police did not confirm the identity; however, the body was taken to Fort Campbell for an autopsy.

From reports the body does match the description of Jameson. From all accounts it is most likely Jessiah Jameson. Jameson had been missing since he was last seen on November 16 at the Kickers Country Club. May he rest in peace. God bless his family and his wife, Erin Jameson, as they deal with their grief.

Police would not confirm the identity of the body, but rescue workers at the scene referred inquiries to Fort Campbell’s Criminal Investigation Division. Clarksville Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and Fort Campbell are all working on the case.

The body was taken to Fort Campbell for an autopsy to be conducted Saturday morning.

“I think there were some identifying characteristics or marks or tattoos on the body, and so they could have made a preliminary ID at the scene, but to be absolutely safe and sure the body was taken to Fort Campbell,” Ted Denny with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department said. (News Channel 5)

  2. My thoughts are with the Jameson family. My daughter is also a Fort Campbell soldier just returning from Iraq. I’d like to hope it wasn’t Jessiah found in the river, but if it was, rest in peace soldier.
