The body of a 24 year old woman who disappeared three weeks ago was found Monday morning floating near the Maine State Pier in Portland.

The state Medical Examiner determined that Lynn Moran died by accidental drowning.

I hope they find Lynn safe and sound soon...Not much has been mentioned about this friend's apartment...Did the friend see her leave this apartment and if so was she dressed in this attire of a man's shirt and no shoes at that time...or is there another stop for Lynn between the friends apartment and Bull Moose music store? Perhaps the friend could give more info on what happened during the visit to the apartment ...as to what Lynn's mood was , her demeanor and possibly where she was planning to go...anything might be a clue to where she went...and hopefully be found soon....Angel

It does seem to a lot more missing women reported and in low crime areas; Portland, ME, Thunder Valley Casino, etc.

Hate to say this, but in some of these cases, the women were promicious and took chances with men they barely knew.

With the advent of date rape drugs, women should really be on guard and travel with some "real friends", not the ones who would leave you for a guy.

Just say no!

I guess we have always lost so many girls, but our focus before Natalee was not as intense as it is now.

I hope and pray Ms. Moran is OK, but the witness sighting is very troubling. It almost sounds like she could have been drugged and perhaps ran away from where she was at (men's shirt and no shoes).

We have to be more proactive in life. If the "passerby" mearly aproached the girl and asked if she needed help, perhaps there would be no disappearance to report!

The important factor seems to be the pre-music store events. Clearly when she arrived at the music store she was inadequately attired and her behavior was interpreted as 'belligerent drunk'. I think however this barefoot, scantily clad woman had been drugged which brings to mind the 'friend's apartment' where her cell phone was found. Why would she have left there barefoot and one button only? Disorientation?

It's party season. And parents are under the lamentable impression that if they don't talk to their kids about sex and drugs, and safe partying, the kids won't get it into their heads to experiment (or, conversely, if they do talk about sex and drugs and parties, kids will immediately rush out and start doing them like crazy).

Girls don't generally need to slip dangerous intoxicants into peoples' drinks to get laid. And girls are incredibly infantalized in this country. They aren't taught how to look after themselves in party situations, and how not to get into sketchy situations with guys, or what to do if they do end up in one and need to protect themselves.
